I have the exact set up, I hated sighting my gun until i put put the witt muzzle brake on. now i can do about 1 1/4 inch groups with 150 grain Hornady whitetails at 100 yards and actually enjoy shooting it it. Only difference is i have hogue stock. Thank you

You did get some pretty nice fireballs out of it. Out the sides and muzzle as well.

I’ve got a Witt Machine Clamp on MuzzleBreak on my savage 110 Chambered in .3006 as well & it performs extremely well. Took away majority of the recoil and stopped the rifle from hopping up when shooting off of a bi-pod. My only complaint is the increase of how loud it is with the clamp on MuzzleBreak. & the muzzle flash. it could just be the grain size of the rounds I shoot primarily (180gr)🤷🏻‍♂️ but all in all, it was well above & beyond worth it! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a MuzzleBreak but doesn’t have a threaded barrel.😎

I'm adding weight to my hollow stock, Savage-axis. I'm going to try duct seal in the stock. It is dense and will absorb the recoil.

Being the ultimate He-man that I am I replaced the recoil pad on my 30-06 with a piece of angle iron and shortened the barrel, cutting the girly muzzle break off in the process . I like to use dangerous hot loads to up the manliness while I'm at it just because I'm all man. (; Thanks for the review. I just ordered one...for someone else of course.

What stock do you have? I have a nice sporterized mauser w douglas barrel and timney trigger, bit it has a gorgeous walnut stock handmade by my Uncle who was a gunsmith for 30 yrs. He passed and I dont want to scratch it up but would love to hunt with it.

This is the Boyd’s Pro Varmint. It’s maybe a bit chonky for hauling around hunting but Boyd’s makes a lot of other stock profiles. Their Classic and Heritage patterns are a little more slim. The laminated birch is stable in any weather condition and all of their stocks have two steel reinforcing bolts to prevent splitting.

It is quite a bit louder but not a huge increase in noticeable muzzle blast.

Now that you've had it awhile, what are your thoughts regarding how it affected accuracy out of your 30-06? It seemed like you weren't sure in the video... as someone considering this for their 30-06, an update would be super appreciated! Thanks for the great review.

While the brake did shift my point of impact significantly, the groups were almost identical. I’ll try to do a follow-up review when the days get a bit longer. I’ve been having a hard time getting out to the range the last month or so.

The most accurate rifle I ever shot was a 30:06 Rem ADL ??? For some odd reason it loved Rem 180 grain Ammo ?? Because it was a hunting rifle, I sited in the cold bore shot !! If I let the barrel cool back down between shots, I was shooting a target the size of the diameter of a cigarette, at 100 yards !! My groups were typically touching !! I didn't shoot the rifle a lot, just site in and hunt ! The longest shot with this rifle was 400 yds, heart shot !!

I had a completely positive experience. I have heard others’ stories of long wait times but my brake came quickly.

@@SuburbanRifleman I'm not worried about the wait time... It's a made to order part I'm curious about performance gain there is a new AK brake that came out the Unrivaled brake and they charge $200 for it I'm hoping to find similar for less money it's a 556 AK that it would go on

Take it off that light stock. It would make it nicer to shoot! Shot one in a walnut stock from a interarms mark x or zastava m70 which is the same firearms one imported by interarms and other by zastava usa!

I’ve read that as well. I don’t remember exactly how long mine took but it wasn’t months. I seem to remember like three weeks.

How are you shooting a bolt gun without working the bolt between shots been shooting Ars to long or just editing it out I guess. Mite want toTell your viewers this so it makes sense.

Yeah. I know it looks weird. Around the time I made this video, KZfaq dropped new rules prohibiting videos that showed shooters: 1. Loading a magazine 2. Inserting a magazine 3. “Charging” a firearm They weren’t very clear about what constitutes “charging” and there was speculation among content creators that even working the bolt on a rifle could get a video demonetized or banned. KZfaq seems to have backed off on this policy. I probably should have explained that but, when I start talking off-topic, someone complains about that as well. I’ve learned I can’t please everyone. Thanks for your feedback.
