Rollback netcode permeates the entire game, so unfortunately, there's no sense in having a separate rollback option for 1v1s. The most likely scenario in which the next Smash title gets rollback is one in which they rebuild their engine, because that's basically what they would need to do anyway to implement rollback.

Online lag in ultimate matters so much. Some characters like Cloud are impossible to punish and Lil Mac becomes viable.

Why are they talking about beating Hbox in grand finals as if it was somehow a lesser win because of that? Hbox is arguably top 3, all time.

I think it's moreso just because Wizzy has a good record against him (at least in recent times). It's like if Sparg0 felt bad about only winning majors by beating Acola in grands. Acola is not a bad player by any means, but Sparg0 just has such a good record over him that it would feel a little "unearned" in a sense if he just won majors over Acola and no other opponents. I'm guessing that is what Wizzy is getting at here

He's clearly top 3 of all time, but Hbox hasn't win anything since Wavedash 2022, and got 9th at Tipped Off 15 last month. From all the top 10 players, he might be the less scary to play against

I strongly dislike Steve, but I'm so tired of how every podcast about smash spends so much time ranting about how he doesn't play the same game. I get it, I agree, but I've heard all these points a million times before and it's so doomer. It's okay to be doomer, but the fact that I'm listening to a podcast about smash means that I want to still enjoy the game and these Steve takes are repetitive and so tediously negative. Wizzy has a non doomer take and maister is like "that hopefully perspective will end." I have fun listening when it sounds like you guys are having fun. When you sound frustrated, I feel frustrated. It makes me want to stop listening. If you had something new to say about Steve I'd be interested but it's always the same points.
