Hey, yes it is! I just received mine today after waiting a month for it. I only paid $10CAD/$7.5USD/£6, but that the seller's mistake.

That last clip of GB3LI... I was listening to that QSO from Pyms Chair high spot just north of Buxton. If I'd have known we could have tried for a long distance simplex contact on your new radio!

I bought one of these and a cheap baofeng programming cable off ebay, , the cheap cable had a counterfeit prolific chipset in it (like all of them) and i could not get it to work, after arsing around for two days to get it to work i seen the light and bought a prog cable with a genuine FTDI Chipset from Techfix-uk, now it works no problem after windows 10 self downloaded the drivers, make sure it is a genuine ftdi cable and the port is set in the prog software and device manager. save yourself the headache and use a cable with a genuine FTDI chipset.

Yeah it's a minefield Paddy, I've had a tonne of issues with crappy cables over the years. Glad you got it sorted!
@pongybossman6 жыл бұрын
All sorted now, the FTDI cable was £17 but worth it, the ebay cable is going back

Hi. I started programming the radio this morning. But after programming and turning radio off, disconnect program cable and turn radio on there is no led indication that the radio is on, no voice announcement when switching channels and only led indicator when transmitting. I noticed in your video that I did not hear the voice channel name and there is no light on when you are transmitting. Any clue on that ? Thanks..
@RingwayManchester8 жыл бұрын
Hi ben, you'll see in the video there's a dropdown menu to set the voice, etc. No LED indicator when the radio is on. There is a light when the radio RX and TX.
@hoofdeigenwijs8 жыл бұрын
Hi. My problem is solved, but it was hardware related. I also got no audio with the squelch open. I opened the radio and found that one of the connectors for the headphone output was not soldered at all. After soldering that connector my radio gives the sound again. Thanks for your tutorial !

Glad you got it sorted Ben

@RingwayManchester Жыл бұрын
Sadly not they’re programmed with test frequencies that will likely interfere with other spectrum users.

Hi, don't have one of these radios so can't vouch exactly for this programming software. I have a Hytera PD-365 and Connect Systems CS750, both use USB programming cables and I use Oracle Virtualbox on a Mac then install Windows XP as a virtual machine and you're away.
