Here's a few segments of an edition of Sunday in Chicago as aired on WMAQ Channel 5, hosted by Bob Hale and Bettye Odom, this one highlighting the town of Schaumburg and it's most well-known attraction, the Woodfield Shopping Center.
This was from a Umatic dub of a 2" Quad videotape, so there are no commercials, PSA's or promos.

A. Alfred Taubman, who was Board Chairman of the company that built Woodfield Mall, gives a little preview of the segments of Sunday in Chicago about to be presented here (this was saved from a compilation tape done for promotional purposes)
We go inside to Woodfield Shopping Mall in Schaumburg where Bettye and Bob preview coming edition as they come down from the escalator
Bob speaks in front of the Village Hall with Schaumburg Mayor Robert Atcher (a former TV personality who handled commercials during Hopalong Cassidy shows - and yes, one and the same as 1930's and '40's country star Bob Atcher who made many a duet with Bonnie Blue Eyes; he was mayor from 1959 to 1975); topics discussed include the town's growth since 1956, the system of government, how much land to be developed in the town, police and fire, plans for a civic cultural center, taxes and upkeep, and the various districts and their setup
Next, Bob takes us to the water tower which signifies Woodfield, in the middle of a corn field; and interviews former mall owner Edwin Freise, his wife (Renada?), daughter Mrs. Dolores Kassling and granddaughter Dawn; Edwin discusses his family's claim to the land (dating to 1858) and amount property was purchased for; Mrs. Freise speaks her opinions on how the development turned out, their current residence (Lexington Fields); next is a pictorial show on the history of both the land and the Freise family, plus where they live currently (as of taping and air date); Dawn, 7, indicates she's hearing all this for the first time, she goes to St. Peter's Lutheran School; Dolores expresses satisfaction with how things turned out
Peter Jacobi shows the various artwork strewn throughout the mall, starting by telling a history of the market place and how various malls around the country were once bustling factories for industry; with an aluminum sculpture (35' high) by Kenneth Snelson, a crescent by Robert Engman and a 24' baked enamel steel plate piece by Robinson Fredenthal shown throughout
Bob introduces the Choraleers of Schaumburg High School (7 boys, 5 girls), who (under the direction of John Van Hook) perform a series of hymns; shots of the mall and them descending from the escalator and performing at various sections of the mall are seen
