Loved your reaction! In the late 60's my Mom owned a restaurant on the Jersey shore and about closing time a group of about eight walked in and sat down. One server said a guy with them looked exactly like Tom Jones and everyone laughed it off. A bit later that guy went to use the restroom and two others followed him and stood outside the door keeping anyone else from entering. At that moment they knew it was him. They stayed well past closing and were very pleasant and tipped four times the amount of the bill while Tom took photos with all the employees.

Tom is still alive and can still sing.

Tom Jones has a very powerful voice, with legendary projection. He still can sing like that these many years later. This is my favorite of his songs, and there's a great many. Loved your reaction "One of the best songs you ever heard". I got to listen to this fabulous Welsh born singer weekly in the early 70's via his TV show "THIS IS TOM JONES". He is still alive, still still touring & still singing beautifully. He was a judge on the Voice for a few seasons too. You were "upset" that this song portrayed the singer getting used/hurt by the women he loved. So, I'm warning you to be prepared for what happens when you hear Tom belt out "DELILAH". Again the woman is a player, but the reaction to her cheating is as explosive as the lyrics suggest "Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take anymore." So, I hope to see you react to DELILAH! On a happier note, in real life Tom Jones married early & was blessed in that he married a strong women who was devoted to him. Their union lasted until she past away recently of cancer. Obviously she was the rock of their relationship as the marriage did survive the heartaches of navigating thru the female adoration & pitfalls that came with Tom's rising fame.
