@PotatoGunCamper
@PotatoGunCamper 2 ай бұрын
He is more of a development guy than a head coach. He definitely is highly respected. They should bring someone in like coach Budenholzer and run a REAL offensive system to help their role players more. Put JJ as an asst to appease LeBron since we know if he opts in he wants his guy in place. Coach Bud should run more of the offense that they ran in Atlanta. LeBron could still do a lot of primary ballhandling, but it won't be the watch LeBron and then react show. All of LeBron's teams suffer because his style takes his teammates out of sync and when he isn't on the floor there isn't a system to rely on. At the very least, let the secondary ball handlers run the system when lebron is on the bench.

Make no mistake about it, Ham was part of the problem. Rotations, time-outs, not using the right players etc. Fans who watched the Lakers all season, know this. It’s crazy how you have all these guys on ESPN/TNT defending Ham when they watched about 5 Laker games all year. Rob Pelinka also made major mistakes. His biggest asset during last offseason was the mid-level exception and his signing (Gabe Vincent) was a total fail.

The problem with Darvin Ham is how he handled his post-games interviews. He didn't take any blame or accountability. I think that's what led to this decision, not just their performance or record. You need a leader who takes 100% responsibility even if it's not his fault.

They gave the defending champs a tough game all 5 games so he did some things right. But I don't know if losing those leads is more about the coaching aspect or needing another piece or two. One thing I questioned was in game 5 when Lakers were up about eight in the third and Denver hit a couple shots, I was like he should call a timeout. Even the announcers said it. He waited until Denver went up to call one. Seeing their pattern was outscoring the Lakers in the 3rd, I felt he should have tried to stop that run. But on the outside looking in, it seemed they may have got it right one more year with him.

If it were the roster, they wouldn't have been up for most of the series. The problem was in the 4th where timeouts were taken irresponsibly, game plans didn't adjust, and instead of running the ball through AD, we have Lebron ISO and no player movement. That's coaching brodi

When you lose by 2pts in a road elimination game against the defending NBA Champions, especially after shooting 18/27 from the free throw line, some need to reconsider the whole picture when it comes to playoff futility.
