Well, by the time you watch this... It will be the first week of April... But just know I have so much video footage from my daily baiting, to fixing the blind, to sitting & waiting for a Wolf to walk by that I can't keep up... LITERALLY LOL... To be honest, I am out in the bush more than I am editing & it will remain that way, but you folks will have to deal with watching my videos well into the future. This video was captured during the week of March 20th & ya'll will be still watching my Wolf content well into April, even though it is closing March 31st (I still have 2 more overnighters I am doing before it closes... don't worry!)
Enjoy!!!

Got my fingers crossed that we will see a pile of fur before the season ends. You have put in tons of work and should be rewarded for your efforts.

Of course I’m watching brother !!! Thanks for entertaining my call that evening was awesome to touch base and share some thoughts . I love this kind of stuff to because it really shows what goes into hunts , videos and how it really is if you want to be successful. Success isn’t measured by the harvest either I think people can sometimes get lost in that statement. It’s about the journey and experiences and gathering the knowledge!!! We will have to chat again soon my friend . Thanks for sharing and as always looking forward to the next one .

Excellent video anyone who thinks it’s easy to outsmart these animals have never tried it lol. Hard work and patience always pays off, we tagged a beautiful big male on the 30th of March in the Gogama area

100% - I appreciate you respecting the perspective that this is not easy & is hard work... But hey, for those with a passion for anything typically wear themselves out doing what they love... It doesn't feel like hard work, thats for sure!!! Congrats on the big dog!!! Email me a picture if you can!!!

I was thinking about you when I was repairing the blind due to the Ravens poking holes in my roof. I appreciate you brother - the shipping address is in the description of every video!

Could try some old carpet on top of blind so the ravens can’t destroy it anymore.

Good idea - But I would fear it would eventually rot/mold.

@@PatterningNature Keeps the ravens at bay and you could look at it like cover scent if it get to bad it’s easier to replace then letting them destroy new tarps.

@@terryfuller8724 Hmm... Good point.. I do have an abundance of carpet in the shop... Picked it up off the side of the road & off KIJIJI from someone who was doing renos.

Awesome! I think I twisted my ankle falling out of that tree though. LOL! I dont know how many times I've clamped my camera to a tree branch to use as a tripod. Hoping you get that wolf after all the work you put into it, but I've done the same in past years with bear baiting and still never harvested one every year at the bait. But eventually it does pay off. The area I used to bear bait in is being logged out now, so gotta get out and find a new location now and get at it since bear opens in a few weeks here.

Try dragging some meat tied to your sled on cable behind your sled walking into your blind....

Funny you say that - I have done that when I hunted the waterbody of Red Lake. I would snowmobile the trails around my bait site, dragging a rag soaked in blood, or just freeze a bunch of meat into a block then drag it behind the snowmobile. It actually didn't work believe it or not... The Wolves didn't use the trails I was snowmobiling on, but rather infiltrated the bait site directly from the bush & the ridge to the north of my bait site. I'm unsure if dragging the meat assisted in navigating their noses to my bait site, but I didn't locate any tracks where I dragged the meat or bloody rag so I have no conclusion of that really. It makes sense because wildlife is dependable on scent but maybe I just have to try dragging blood soaked rags or meat blocks more often to finalize a conclusion LOL - Great suggestion though!!!!
