3 ай бұрынWith over 60 hours of non-stop snow, Winter is back, the snowmobile is out of the shop & gassed up, ready to go! But... with snow storms comes new #Wolf tracks to follow & more baiting before the season ends.
It looks like the current bait cubby is holding up just fine - With the amount of snow we've got, its really boxed in the cubby, allowing it to harden up & protect the boxes of bait underneath all the logs.
These big dogs have not been back since March 22nd, but with these last couple of bait boxes, I will get them back in my area in no time ;-)

We had a big end of Spring snow storm as well. Now we're just ending a 3 day rain storm which left lots of flooding. One extreme to the other. But getting excited for Spring Ice out trout fishing now. I'm sure the wolves will be back off their circuit soon. I almost got into trapping as well but it's an expensive hobby since pelts aren't worth what they used to be. But it is cool knowing how to and doing what our ancestors did when they came here.

Oh we got zero snow left now... We went from having zero snow, to 3 feet of snow, to again zero snow, all in a few weeks LOL

Beautiful day! I found the footage of the wolf running across the lake while I was ice fishing. You can see a large black animal running but I am sure I'll have comments on that video saying it's not a wolf because gopros with their wide angle lens don't do so well zooming in 600m away. My eyes could see it in full detail. Getting your trappers license will be a fun adventure for sure. That will add a whole new element to your videos.

One time Franklin & I saw 2 Moose standing on the lake off in the distance... Their legs looked like people because of how big the Moose were. It wasn't until I began snowmobiling towards them that they ran off. I thought I was having to save some lost snowshoe folk or something LOL

I run two cellular trail cams on my property in the Yoop! Lets me monitor my corn feeders from 300 miles or so- keep up the good work!!!

Lot more snow than we got here in newfoundland this year. You going to bear hunt this spring, all that bait is going to bring a couple in for sure.

Our winter was garbage too, very mild! I will for sure be Spring Bear hunting.. Either over a bait, or spot & stalk!

Was that winter 3.0 or winter 4.0 lol I’ve lost track here too. At least you’ll be able to tell old from new tracks now . Looking forward to the the bait banter and season round up . Keep after it brother
