Wolfe Ridge FC-24 Firewood Conveyor Walk Around and Demonstration

Today for #WolfeRidgeWednesday we take you on a tour of the Wolfe Ridge FC-24 firewood conveyor. Shown in the video is our 24 foot firewood conveyor, but it is also offered in 16, 32, and 40 foot lengths.
The Wolfe Ridge firewood conveyors come standard with:
3" x 2" welded trailer frame 1/8" thick
10 and 11 gauge steel construction of conveyor
Heavy duty reinforced bottom trough with extra wide funnel
15 inch wide conveyor trough
Grizzly bars and chip chute are standard equipment
90 degree pivoting wheel hubs for easy angle adjustment
Honda GX200 gas engine
Self contained hydraulic system
Hydraulic tank reservoir with sight glass and thermometer
Hydraulic control valves for:
-Conveyor forward and reverse
-Conveyor height raising and lowering
Adjustable speed control of conveyor chain
Hydraulic pressure reliefs to protect the pump and components

Another great demonstration Bob. The only improvement I could see would be welding multiple nuts on the underside for the straight position and the 90 degree position of the wheels so no wrench would be needed, just your impact gun and your good to go. Cheers Woody !!!

Hi Woody, thanks for watching! I can see your point there, I'd only be concerned with the welded nut getting cross-threaded some day on accident.

Would love to upgrade our old conveyor to this 24 ft one just need a few other woodyard upgrades first . Would definitely be ya first customer if I could get ya to build some sort of a hopper feeder that would hold a cord or 2 of rounds an feed them onto the table . Kinda a universal unit that would feed any vertical or horizontal splitter that could be loaded with a tractor or skid steer . Picture a truck sander with the back cut off an a wider bottom run hydraulicly from the splitter . Just an idea for you guys that would sell good .

If you have a dump trailer, that would work for a hopper. Just keep it hooked to a truck when you raise it LOL

@@WolfeRidgeSplitters Thats what we have ben using a 7 by 14 dump trailer . But them 300 lb oak rounds are a pain to roll out of the trailer an turn around to set onto the table . Rex splitters makes a hopper feeder but they are having a hard time getting them over here to the states . Be nice to have someone here in the states that could make them .

Honestly it was easier than I thought it would be to pivot those wheels. Also moving the conveyor left and right was pretty easy too considering I was on snow and mud.

We are currently working on a screener. Don't know how affordable it will be though... bearings, shafts, sprockets and chains are around $4000 before we even start welding. This is for a 10 ft unit...

Good video Bob! The ability to adjust the stroke is money! How much time does the short stroke take off one cycle?

This is something I need to do a separate video on as it is a good question. In this case I would say at least 1-2 seconds using it in the 6 inch position on this 35C.

How does the sump of the conveyor work with the sorting table extension?

Works great with the extension as well! The splitter would just be a little farther away to allow some chaff to fall thru the extension bars.

Wow 40 foot convayor? I didn't realize you guys made one that long. I can safely assume 35 to 45 MPH max towing speed?

I would tow it only short distances, probably 35mph would be comfortable.
