▸ What is Old Man Logan: Old Man Logan is an alternative version of the fictional character Wolverine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. This character is an aged version of Wolverine set in an alternate future universe designated Earth-807128, where the supervillains overthrew the superheroes. Introduced as a self-contained story arc within the Wolverine ongoing series by writer Mark Millar and artist Steve McNiven, the character became popular with fans. After the Death of Wolverine, Laura Kinney took the Wolverine mantle but an Old Man Logan from the similar Earth-21923 was brought in to serve as an X-Man and featured in his own ongoing series.

My own experience, the Afghanistan Papers, Pat Tillman...even the most casual research into the US wars of aggression over the last 2 decades shows that the goal has not been to achieve any victory, but simply to extend the war. No number of young American lives is too much for a US commissioned officer to spend in pursuit of their career and, one day, published memoirs.

@Gh0stwheel84 Politicians maybe don’t have a true idea of the lives they cost, & are one of the main reasons behind the military industrial complex but a US Officer’s singular job is to their platoon, & getting them home safely. However, you are correct in the matter that we had no true goal of how to achieve victory in Afghanistan. We haven’t fought a total war since WW2, which drastically limits what we can do in terms of how we fight an enemy.

I was about 8 or 9 years old in 1982, or 1983, when I was introduced to comics by a dear cousin, and HE did tell me sometimes some "cross reference happened" or authors of certain comics made "mentions" or "cameos" to other stuff, so when "this sort of things" was happening in late 80's and early 90's era comics, I was well aware and looking for all sort of references everywhere ;) Regards from Tabasco, México [Land of The Olmecs]!

I don’t even want to look it up because I think about all the men and women that genuinely believed they were on to something good from the start and to have your world view twisted like that is messed up. I’ve been kind of anti-war and military my whole life, but I still have some empathy for those that have been through it and end up in messed up situations.

That hand bothers me.....so, Krakoa and the Five can just make Adamantium now. Which, yknow, makes sense, since they have reality warpers. But being able to create raw materials can go either way in a post-scarcity world. If you can make Adamantium from nothing, then any silicate or precious metal would be up for grabs as well.

I was introduced to Maverick by the tv show Wolverine and the X-Men. I loved that show. Shame it didn’t get a second season. Btw Kingpin giving Wolverine a handkerchief at 16:25 made me chuckle

I've always really liked Maverick, in general, I really like Wolverine's separate lore and characters associated with him (enemies and allies), I guess it makes sense since he's always been my favorite Marvel character.

I'm happy that the X-Men have evolved from being stuck in a school to having a whole nation but these merry mutants just put a huge bulls eye on themselves. X-Men the Animated Series has a great episode that touches on Wolverine and Team X is the episode: "Weapon X, Lies & Videotape."

After watching this video, i realize that it will be very tough to cast an actor for live action wolverine in MCU. Because Hugh Jackman was in my mind when i was watching this video and he smoothly just fits in wolverine character. Trust me because i am from India and after X-Men movies became success Indian audiences had wolverine in their mind when walking to an X-Men movie.

There is a vat of adamantium in Krakoa for wolverine to use. I don't remember them explaining how they got it, but it's there. Wolverine has already died before (I think he was fighting a sentinel in space and the sun killed him.) and used the resurrection chamber.

I am but things are off. I really don't know how else to put it. Sure, maybe the island of Krakoa wasn't launched permanently into space like we readers had once thought, but: That island is still alive, has a mind of its own and still very much feeds on mutants. This seems both like a bio-punk rework of _The Matrix_ (in terms of the island just, IDK, knocking all of these mutants out, keeping them in pods and letting them live a simulated "fairytale reality" while they get drained time and again) and/or a perfect place for a twisted Doctor MacTaggert to have a last stand against Mystique and Destiny. I mean, Onslaught gets beaten in ONE issue? The X-Men have _The BROOD_ at their beck and call?? Someone has Wolverine's hand, apropos of nothing? Some teenagers somewhere got Mimic Serumed Up and are impersonating the Original Five, somewhat (Children of the Atom)? Some of these tales are too random and too many of them just resolve abruptly in a cut-and-dried manner, like there's no time to actually get _into it,_ which would imply a simulation lacking the resources to do that and still keep what, several tens of thousand mutants, new and otherwise, in pods and in check? (*shrugs*) I mean, if you think about it, this would be the perfect way for MacTaggert to execute her original anti-mutant agenda while taking refuge in a place even her enemies wouldn't go. It just seems weird that everything's so neat, cut and dried, and that very little of it interacts with the Marvel Universe, the Phoenix Force or anything stronger than Krakoa itself. For all we know Arrako, Apocalypse, his family and Ten of Swords could all be Krakoa's private fan-fiction head-cannon, up to and including the Gala and the Mars missions.

Could it be that is the hand that old man Logan lost while he was in that timeline. I remember a series in which he had one of his hands cut off with a special type of laser sword. And he regrew a hand with a bone claws.

@@michaelploskina1681 I don't think the weapon x program that fused his bones with adamantium had adamantium teeth in mind as a battle advantage.... what's he gonna do with adamantium teeth bite your fingers off? No he doesn't need to see a dentist same reason he doesn't need to see an MD...all his bodily systems are in perfect condition kept in check by his mutant healing factor.. cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory, digestive, endocrine etc etc. His teeth are fine and probably has a much cleaner mouth than ordinary humans similar to canines and felines given his animalistic nature and similarities to those animals. I don't even think wolverine is capable of suffering from bad breath either. His healing factor keeps his mouth so clean he doesn't have to worry about plaque, cavaties, gum disease and all that. That healing factor of his goes a long way not just healing physical injuries.

Simple reason. Bones are under the skin, teeth are not. Because the ac is pumping air in your car doesn't mean the tires are keeping cool. Is not as overly complicated as people think.
