Jumanah Baskerville was having a normal morning until Fulton County marshals barged into her boyfriend’s home to serve an eviction notice. Baskerville, who was only wearing a bathrobe, asked if she could get dressed. But instead of being allowed to properly cover herself, she says an all-male group of marshals body-slammed and arrested her on the spot, while her 4-year-old daughter listened from a nearby room. So wait a minute they were only serving the eviction notice? So that means that all they had to do was post it on her door or hand it to her. They aren’t allowed to come in without a warrant to serve an eviction notice. I’m confused because the Lady said they were there to serve the notice but the gentleman putting out the story is saying it was an actual eviction.

I'm sure the notice had been served weeks prior. They obviously didn't take it seriously so that's why the Sherriff 'showed up to physically remove them. The sheriffs were well within their rights to come inside. She was being combative and being smart. They should have paid they're RENT.

You don’t know if they paid their rent or not some landlords can evict you even if you’ve paid up your rent. Some can say you owe only to have the judge disagree. Many things are far from being known for sure.

This is unacceptable! Usually the marshall comes with the landlord. Marshalls don't serve eviction. It's the super. The Marshall are there to ask you to leave. Which means the tenant went to court and everything. That's the way it's here in NY/NJ area.

The Marshall that pushed the door opened after she just told him she was naked was way out of line. Why can't she go get dressed? They weren't there to serve a warrant. It was an eviction - period. At the same time, what kind of sorry dude doesn't even let his chick know that he's about to get kicked out. He had been served notice for at least a month. And and order to vacate within 72hrs would have been on his door right before this. Why would he leave her clueless when he knew what was coming that day? People just refuse to take responsibility for anything.

I lived in GA for 11 years. Biggest mistake of my life! Once a police officer came looking for my ex husband who I was separated from at the time (not yet divorced) and since they couldn't find him, they came back with a warrant for me, for permitting an unauthorized person to drive "my" vehicle. I explained to them that the vehicle was not mine it was in his grandmother's name and she added me to the insurance. I explained to them that was his car in his grandmother name. They said since the warrant had already been issued, they had to take me in. I bonded out same day and the charge was later dropped. Either way this was terribly inconvenient and unacceptable. When I tell you GA police are not worth the GA dream. Literally everywhere in GA is just not worth it. This was in Winder, GA and that was Winder PD or Barrow County PD. Seriously the ATL hype is just not worth dealing with GA police 💯

Maybe they are going through hard times you see the apartment had no furniture. Looks like the mom stays at home to watch their daughter. Daycare is very expensive and dangerous. These rising prices probably put them there. At least he working and trying to take care of his family.

This generation is so dumb. The eviction had already been gone through the courts. this is like way months of after being "SERVED" the eviction. Just pay your rent and you won't have to go through this. And also when they tell you to leave, just leave gracefully. The girl is in the wrong and very slow if she thinks she gets to be in an apartment indefinitely without paying the rent for months.

Maybe it's me, because I just don't see what you're seeing. She went to the room and closed the door during an eviction. Didn't say a word and just walked in the room and closed the door. If I was the marshall I would be worried about my safety. She can just do that. So I now have to take control of the situation, as law enforcement. Maybe I'm missing something.
