He'd had his surgery 14 years earlier. He should've been down to a healthy weight years earlier. He said he was 212 lbs. He's a good 300 lbs. His mother was and continues to kill him with "love." These cases make me crazy. It's a dysfunctional situation.

Sadly violence against paramedic, firefighters, police etc just get worse. I know a few years ago some drunken idiots going against volunteering firefighters who were called to a fire during Sylvester. They didn't accepted that they had to move their cars (which were parked illegally in front of the station!). That makes me so angry. Or loosening the screws of the wheels on an ambulance during an emergency. Or that fu***g person on a bicycle in Berlin.

I was driving down the road and saw this guy was beating a cop on the ground after he shot him ( I didn't know he was shot until later). I called it in pulled over got my bat out and slammed it into his back. When he looked up, I pepper sprayed him. In that short time a cop was already running over to us. I dropped everything and backed away. Sat down so I didn't worry the cops. I gave my statement and was driving off. Thank goodness they were allowed to tell me the cop was in ICU but was getting better everyday. He came to see me about a month after to thank me. We both cried. He thought I was his angel coming to take him home. 💜💜 thank you God for putting me in the right place at the right time. I had just bought a new bat for my nephew and was able to save a life.

I refuse to call a ambulance because I had a very bad experience with my daughter her poppy died and she was his favorite as well as me we both had trouble dealing with it she tried to commit suicide and they came in the house we lived in a 2 story house and all of the bedrooms were upstairs and they were laughing and I just lost it and yelled at them because they were laughing while my daughter was dying we spent 3 week's and I reported them yet they still are working.

Do they not have braincells in America? By the way, the UK have the equal 3rd best oral health in the world, unlike America, which is somewhere below Mexico! So please put the silly racist comment to bed, it just makes you ,look ignorant.

That bariatric patient told the paramedics he now weighs 212 pounds no way!! Then he said 32 or 34 stone which is nothing close to that so I'm confused. Maybe he meant 412 pounds?? He wouldnt need a special stretcher if he was 212 pounds.

Late reply, but unless you’re well under 150 cm, 53 kilos is an excellent weight, maybe even a bit underweight if you’re closer to 170 cm. And if you’re working out remember that muscle mass may make you heavier in weight but your body fat percentage will go down

Y does it seem like the uk emts seem to have way better training than we do here in the states…these guys seem to stay on site a lot longer than here…I seen one of a man that was having a panic attack…the 2 ladies who handled him stuck around wit him for almost 2 hours n made sure his partner picked him up n took care of him…here the emts jus pick up n go n administers some care but really these guys do soo much more

As an EMT in the states, you have to understand that the hospital is the definitive care for the patient. We have protocols that state we have 20 minutes on scene with trauma patients and 15 minutes with medical patients. We identify the problem fast as an emergency, try to stabilize the patient and transport appropriately so the hospital can provide care that an ambulance cannot.

Uh, they should have given him glucagon right off. They can always lower the sugars but you can’t reverse the organ damage waiting around like that. Also, why doesn’t the partner have something better than Lucozade on hand if he has had hypo episodes before? Think people!

The paramedic said glucose, so it would have been a sugar solution injection. With his blood sugar so low giving him a hormone (insulin) injection would have decreased it further. I think the voice over got it backwards.
