Lockdown! I NEED your advice man...I want to start a program for prisoners in Toronto Canada...I want to help inmates deal with their inner demons. I was able to cure myself of 20 years of suicidal depression with a 10 minute a day breathing technique. I want to teach this to inmates. This could revolutionize all prison culture by empowering people to overcome their demons. Also on the DL...It gets you high, and its only breathing ;-)

@@lockdown23and1 I dont expect you to believe me because its not your experience but this info could help a lot of people. Any advice on connecting with correctional systems to get something like this going? I'm not looking to get paid for it. Maybe a bus ticket and a meal but thats it. I have no doubt that this can help anyone, even the hardest criminals, if they just try it once. Then its theirs to use to heal themselves and they have it forever. Plus if they can't find any gear, they can use this to get high till they do find some!

@@saramichelle6070 We need to protect our society's most vulnerable and not allow the private prison systems keep people as slaves. Prison is not a recovery program, and many of them only create more trauma. People who belong there are drug dealers who don't consume their own product and target addicts.I'm glad you got out, though, and are able to thrive.

Portugal decriminalized all drugs (including heroin, meth, and coke) back in 2000, and their addiction and overdose rates dropped dramatically. They don't throw users in prison. They automatically put them in a rehab program and give them skills, job programs, and a place to stay for a while to get their lives back together for no charge. Facts. The number one reason people become drug addicts are not just the drugs themselves, it's self medication for mental illness or because something's missing from their lives.

I was standing , my body locked up and I fell against the wall and was stuck there for a moment. Afterwards I thought , " Yo man , fuck this shit!" . I went a few months and didn't use again... But.... Next time I did. I immediately fell in love with it. That was about 23 years a go. It eventually turned into a heroin habit , which eventually led to a prison jost. I still wrestle with on and off opiate addiction. My advice to anyone , Never try it for that first time. It could be love at fist sight and the demise of your life.

You can say "if this one person didnt come around and show you how to shoot up drugs.. your life might be totally different.." But that's not usually the case. Most of the time, we've already thought about shooting it. We've heard it hits you harder, lasts longer, you don't have to do as much, etc etc. So we already have it in our minds that we want to try it. So the chances are, even if that one person didnt come around, we woulda found someone else to show us.

Opioids are fucking great (until they're not). Whenever I took them, it was like ALL my problems went away. All I felt was pure euphoria and positivity. Fortunately, I never became a full-blown addict and never got caught with them, so I've never been to jail and have no criminal record. I had a friend that got them legally for chronic pain, but they didn't like them (which I don't understand ha), so they sold them super cheap. It was pretty safe because I wasn't getting them on the street. Anyway, they passed away from a surgery gone wrong so I had no connection anymore. It sucks bad that they had to pass away for me to stop doing them, but if that hadn't have happened, who knows where I'd be today. Haven't touched them in years, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss them. It's easy to see how someone could get caught up in that shit. I'm lucky I got out. Some people aren't that fortunate. (It feels sucky that something unfortunate had to happen for me to stop.) Still, we need to stop sending users to prison. They need help, not punishment.

Growing up me and my friends would party on the weekends like get drunk and smoke weed. Then my buddy gave me a perc 30 and that was it. Percs turned to sniffing dope, which eventually lead to shooting it. Very shitty lifestyle. It’s nice hearing people who you can relate to. I’ve been clean almost 3 years now. It’s a hard battle..

PG BB it is. I’ve detoxed off methadone and suboxone. Both are the longest acting. And both left me sick for a month-two months acutely and for another 2 months after I was about 80% on my best days. Took a good 6 months to a year to feel what everyone calls “normal” again. But IT DOES HAPPEN. people just psych themselves into thinking they’ll never be normal again, and you gotta just be strong enough to push through that shit.
