其實充電站已很普及,大部份人每日行幾十英里,在家充電綽綽有餘

@@woo-see 係大部份人、咁小部份呢、當有2成人要揸長途、英國Service 站夠電柱充嗎!倫敦去曼城、利物蒲、點算?一架汽宜加用緊嘅電池想將它消滅會有幾嚴重污染、仲末計佢生產出嚟時候!重有冬天電池效能減3成!電車唔係一面倒咁好嘅!只係有啲政客同政府有好多既得利益者在內先行得咁快姐、全世界最襟用嘅汽車係Toyota,佢老頂豐田章男點解唔做電車?仍然做緊Hybrid, 就係佢睇穿左電車嘅利與弊!我立埸來說電車,根本上係一個大騙局、正如當年英國政府要人換柴油車,而家啲柴油車要俾進城費?點解!

其實電車真係環保?粒電點樣處理,大量用電,其實仲係好多地方用緊燒煤發電,另外電動車個重量太重,令到英國嘅pothole問題更加嚴重

英國已經基本上無再燒煤發電,現在四成以上來自可再生能源,相對貨車來說電動車的額外重量微不足道

Did you mention that EV needs to replace the battery pack around 150,000 miles at US$10,000 each? The ordinary battery for gasoline/diesel vehicles is around US$100 Did you mention the gross weight of EV due to the battery pack cause more wear and tear to the suspension system and the tyres (tires)? Did you mention a recent US survey among EV buyers that 50% of them do not intend to buy another EV? Did you mention in certain part of US where EV don’t start in cold weather? Did you mention the difference in the amount of time needed to charge a EV vs gassing up a gasoline car? Did you mention a EV can only be charged at certain locations ( safety concerns) where gasoline cars can be filled 24/7 at most gas stations? Most consumers are very smart, they know a good deal when they see one. That’s why not everyone in US needs a EV.

It's true that "warranties" offered by the car vendors typically don't covers parts that known to be subject to wear and tears, such as batteries, break pads and tires. You'll need to buy extended warranty for EV that will cover batteries, motors and other wear and tears in you have concern about the cost of those parts.

@@woo-see For Tesla, the basic level warranty that come with car only covers 4 years or 60000 miles, whichever comes first. You need to buy supplement one to extend it to 5 years. And these only cover replacement of batteries if it's broken, not when capacity drops over time. And you need to buy "Battery and Drive Unit Limited warranty" to extend it to 8 years and cover battery replacement when capacity drops below 70%. On the other hand, you may also choose to buy "Parts, Body and Paint Repair Limited Warranty" that also covers battery replacement but for 4 years. Kia offers 8 years with battery capacity drop warranty like you said. For Nissan Leaf, the warranty differs between models. 24KWH models have warranty for 5 years while 30KWH models have warranty for 8 years. And they all will provide replacement if battery capacity drops from 12 bars to 9 bars (i.e.: below 60% because it's noy linear) The catch here is they warranty won't cover battery defunct if it's caused by damage like indirect damage of a car crash. In that case you'll be responsible to pay for full replacement which is about £3500 per cell.

EV more repairs cost after crash, high insurance cost, high initial cost 60% more compare with similar model. Unpredictable catch fire is the most concern
