we were at hancock shaker village last week on our way back from a fall foliage trip to vermont. i took a picture of that same clock. i've admired that style for a long time, have several plans for it, and hope to make one someday. beautifully done video.

“Simple Gifts”, a traditional Shaker song. Aaron Copeland brought it to prominence outside the Shaker community by including it and variations in his dance composition, “Appalachian Spring”. Since then, the melody has been used for other sacred music, including, for example, “Lord of the Dance”. Check out the version with Yo-yo Ma and Allison Krauss. Gottfried

Incredibly pretentious. Use power tools when it suits you. I can make this exact piece, and i will use the modern tools available to me. Your great grandfather did not use power tools because they were not available. Do you not think he would have used a CNC if it had been available to him?

Not to say there is no skill with cnc but to me ultimate test is hand tools nicely done
