The first leaves were already popping out from the trees in early spring, which was so fantastic. But I anyway found something better. Woodland photography has simply more to offer than just the classic shots.

Hi Darren, yes, absolutely. Interesting is also: that is one of these subjects you can engage with for hours to find so many different perspectives and different stories. So inspiring 🙂 Thank you for watching and nice greetings, Christian

“Bruno” is awesome. I’m trying to train my eye by seeing if I can spot the compositions of photographers I respect before they announce them, and I’m happy to say I saw that one immediately. 😊

Thank you so much, Michael 😊 That' quite a good idea to watch out for compositions in the videos. Just tell me in case I'd overlooked any in future 😉 Nice greetings, Christian

Thanks for sharing aboyt the white and black mist filters, very helpful. I always struggle to isolate my subject and dynamic range as you illustrate, so this was great advice for me.

Hi Jenn, oh yes, mist filters are indeed a big gamechanger in woodland photography. But there is more they are able to do for woodland. If you are interested, I made already a video about that: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLSdjZd91JuxYqM.html Thanks a lot for watching and have a great Sunday evening, Christian

Lovely horizontals from the greens in the first image contrasting beautifully with the sparse upright trunks - all a bit Japanese, in a way. Nothing wrong with Bruno as a model either - played his part well. Cheers from NZ.

Hi Luzr, thanks a lot, my friend! It is always interesting where a photo day in woodland leads to, isn't it? Quite happy that I found Bruno in the end 😊 Enjoy your Sunday, Christian

Hi Guido, thanks a lot, my friend! It was not a safe prediction for fog for that morning, to be honest. Because actually, it was just steaming water of the lake in that case, which led to fog in a second step. I'm currently working on things like these on the Photrus algorithms, to consider also indirect built weather phenomena. That's quite interesting, I have to say. So great to hear that you liked Bruno 😉 Enjoy your Sunday, Christian

@christian.irmler Yes, sometimes you just have to take a gamble. I always say if you dont go you have nothing to show. is protrus you're own invention / company? Is it doing good?
@christian.irmler

@@GuidoVanDeWater Yes, Photrus is my own invention and I'm working on it already for multiple years. It got launched it in beginning of 2024. The short description is: Photrus is a weather predicting AI that predicts real landscape photography weather phenomena, such as red sky, golden clouds, rainbows, and much more :) But it goes much further than you might suppose. For my photography it is a big gamechanger. I made a video where I go in detail: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jeCVerek2ZvFlZs.html
