Woodturning a Flashy Sapele Bowl

Sapele never disappoints but sometimes it has a WOW factor. So much flash!
Topped with a 48 segment ring of figured maple separated by mahogany veneer, this a bowl with a lot going on... movement and flash in the grain.
Thanks so much for tuning in! I know it's been a while. It was a required break to allow for some healing. Torn tendons, 99% better now.

Ouch, torn tendons are the pits! PLEASE let everything heal completely, and don’t push yourself too hard. I can tell you from experience that trying to rush healing is a BIG mistake! I love your videos, both the woodworking and the carvings. Your property has so much character!

Elegant piece, the accent ring is very understated brining my attention to the wood,not necessarily the shape. Being colorblind I’ve always seen the shape of things first and then the colors that I can see. I have never seen color first until now. Thanks for the new experience 😊.
