Woodturning - Burl Offcuts to Stunning Bowl

In this woodturning video, I will be transforming some offcuts mallee burl pieces into a stunning hybrid epoxy resin bowl. While working in larger projects I always keep the offcuts since they are still an incredible wood and like to find a way to recycle them into all sorts of different projects. For this particular hybrid project, I used some chameleon epoxy mica pigments what created a stunning effect where the colours are shifting from one to another depending the light.

A gorgeous bowl. I love the effect the irregular shape of the edge of the wood has to create something that looks like it's floating in a solidified water almost like an ice effect!😍😁👍👍

Love how you take offsets from other projects or remnants and turn them into additional beautiful pieces of art! 🥰 That's recycling at its best! 👍 The iridescence of the bowl is stunning! 😍 Question: there was machinery going on in the background. Is that a community wood working shop? Are other people there creating beautiful pieces too? 🤔

I love the color change. I love that it’s not blue or turquoise. Too many turning channels on KZfaq use too much blue and turquoise. I wonder if there was a clearance sale on those colors
