Woodturning - Bowl of Colors

Welcome to today's woodturning project! In this video I'm making a bowl out of colored pencils (again). I couldn't get the resin as clear as I wanted to, but it was overall an interesting project. I finished the bowl with a high gloss spray.

I’ve watched quite a few woodturning colored pencils in resin videos and this bowl is by far the prettiest outcome I’ve seen!

I don't think I have seen such a beautiful one before either. With the resin...it almost looks like the equivalent to one of those crystal glass bowls...with flowers carved into them. He had a wonderful idea and it turned out absolutely stunning

That’s a cool design. I like the floating aspect 3D and the pointy tips facing up and down like stalactites and stalagmites.

Pencil bowls are in general ,just a bit of a mess .This one on the other hand is gorgeous ,and I would almost go into debt to have it .I have no debts and never have ,so that shows my genuine feel of how wonderful I think it is . Wonderful wonderful.❤

I love coloured pencil pieces and it gives rose art purpose lol I’d love to have a piece with only pink and blue pencils with some glitter in the resin or some cool colours with dark resin and glitter to resemble a galaxy but idk how you’d swirl that. Either way I love the finished piece!

I LOVE your work sir! A couple of questions: do you use a thick pour resin? Do you put it in a pressure pot or leave it overnight? And where do you get those disposable containers? Thanks !

This is extremely beautiful. I do have a question though. Many times I’ve found that the “lead” in coloring pencils likes to fall out. Has this ever happened to you?
