I married a man with schizophrenia 😢 It took me a long time to figure out what was wrong. I prayed and prayed tried everything I could but he refused to get help. Unfortunately it ended in divorce and then he died leaving me and our 3 children behind. I never offered him anything but grace because I knew he wasn’t well. The Lord has him now and he is at peace ❤

I am a lady who has been through a lot growing up, gang rape, family rejection, insecurity and low self esteem and abandonment issues, had extreme anxiety and couldn't figure the problem. I am born again, spirit filled and love the lord with all my heart, yet it has been a serious battle of anxiety and nerves. What an awesome teaching. So many of us are broken and covering, instead of getting help and healing. A healed church can help heal the world, but the opposite is also true. I pray that God will heal the 'bodies' in church so the body of Christ can be truly healed and be able to serve the world as a conduit to God. Pride keeps us broken!! This was such a good lesson.

Gratefully, with the right support and help you can recover. I had Depression and then Agoraphobia which is the fear of people. I had CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Treatment) The body holds memory and if not released it turns into more serious issues. Thankfully, I studied Psychology and Sociology. But Psychology is vast and the mind is complex. In the UK our teaching is similar but we have the Mental Health Act. I became a investigator of my own by speaking with Neurosurgeons and Neuroscientists to understand more about my brain. So please understand that you can be free from Mental illness if you are willing to do the work inner & outer.

Woman Evolve introduced me to Dr. Anita and the power of her ministry is indescribable. It was at the same time that I truly started to allow God to heal areas of my life that I was trying to pretend didn't exist. Sometimes I become discouraged when I realize that I still deal with anxiety and depression while God is simultaneously preparing me for using my weakest areas as my ministry. But listening to Dr. Anita helps put everything into perspective.

So much is so good, and I'm glad I found this. It's food for thought. However, So sad that she did not finish what Paul said in Romans 7. Paul ended up saying "Who shall deliver me from this body of death." Verses 24 and 25. God's answer. Please read it. It's Jesus! That's why each time there is a struggle in and with my flesh, I keep crying out for Him to deliver me. Sometimes it's immediate deliverance. Other times it takes a greater, even a much greater amout of time for the deliverance to come. Why? Because it depends upon how deeply imbeded the issue/problem is. Regarding Paul's thorn in the flesh. Paul said why God did not take it away. It was to keep him from Pride.

I do relate. It took me 3 years to stop sleeping with a Bowie knife After I had moved away from my relative. 3 years more to get over needing at least 4 ways to exit any room before I would stay in it. I am grateful for Dr Anita's ka-pow truth. And good Counseling and therapy.

Dr. Anita, I praise the Lord for your courage in sharing your trauma with us. God calls us from specific areas of pain in our lives to help prepare those to receive the healing needed to live well in the life given to each of us. Not all but there are lies being spoken in congregations that gives false hopes and spiritual formulas causing the people to ignore the cracks in there foundation of their lives as if it didn’t happen and we can just pray, praise and proclaim it away. Jesus walked in ALL areas, mind,body and spirit. Providing Healing of the trauma of man’s fall on ALL levels. Thank you for being available and showing us your healing as you have faced your trauma. I am a psych professional. I also lecture at universities. I have always struggled on how to include my faith (not a strong Christian at all -fyi) into my lectures and it’s hard for me since my weakness is the Bible portion. You do an amazing job at it! You’re right. I was angry that I was diagnosed bi polar and all the junk which goes with it... BUT FOR ANYONE READING THIS - I hope my experience helps someone- bottom line Bi polar was treated when THYROID was treated. But not by a regular doctor - but a highly skilled thyroid specialist naturopathic doctor She told me bi polar root is THYROID (undiagnosed)! Interesting?

Lord knows i stumbled upon this message yesterday morning and all i could do is weep. My sister has drug induced mental illness that took me a long time to accept. After listening to the Pastors testimony and biblical insight, i felt a weight lifted off of my heart. My sister is still here battling drugs for 41 plus years. Only God has still kept her here by his Grace!

I am so sorry you are sad. Have you done therapy/counseling? I would highly recommend it. There are so many hurting people in our society. I went through a serious bout of depression about 12 years ago. Reluctantly, I did outpatient at a psychiatric hospital. It truly helped. Sometimes, prayer is not the answer. We need more.

Yes, I have had dreams i couldn't awake from. I have specifically had a dream (several times in my life) where a witch on a broom kidnaps me then pushes me off the broom. I ALWAYS awake before falling. THAT always appears real🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽

I like her approach to the aspect of emotions. Although I would like her to maybe explain self control, being a fruit of the Spirit, our emotions and how we can navigate those two. Also, the judgement that she speaks of, my husband who was struggling with addiction who’s been in a lot of programs for addiction, there is A LOT of judgement within that community as well. So, it’s not just people on the outside condemning, it’s the people who are in the struggle, judging and condemning. Especially those who have been clean from their addiction. So, just wanted add that because not everyone has seen the inside world of addiction. My mom was also a gambling addict as well. It’s a tough space to navigate. Thx for the teaching.
