ahh thank you so much!! I feel that (clearly) but its all about prioritizing and understanding how to best manage your time/understanding your work capacity so that you can effectively get things done and still have enough time in the day for yourself!! :)

Thank you watching you and other consulting vlogers makes me feel like I have found my species on this planet ..I used to work in consulting ....though in a different continent definitely not deadly as in US.(lol) Ican reate to feeling like shit and to that coffee habit(wow take it easy a bit)...now I have moved on to a different industry where I can benefit other people...it is not as so much filled with murderous deadline thing as consulting ...but the ease i feel from reduced stress i try to revamp the comfort zone by continuing to task myself with tutorials like on job skill learning and side hustles like small projects as in to continuing to develop my knowledge and skills I gained from consulting....to keep that muscle in shape ...anyways now the work from home thing has deteriorated my productivity I find watching vlogs such as your putting me back on track and motivating to still be excited about work even if the world is going in different direction.Thank you.

wow i love this comment so much!! The aggressive deadlines and consistently long hours can be (and have been) a killer and it is so incredibly encouraging when i hear a story like yours in which you've found a more stable work/life balance while also remaining self-motivated to find new challenges/proactively expand your skillset. I am so grateful for the experiences that consulting has given me and there are so many things i do love about this job, but it has definitely taken a toll on my mental/physical health at times so i couldn't relate more to this comment lol. Also am right there with you as far as productivity in quarantine goes. I've realized i work way better when i can switch it up between the office and home (esp when starting a new project). Thank you so much for the kind words and for sharing your experience - its always great to hear from someone who can relate!!

Hi Sam. These vlogs are life, and really motivating for an undergrad. I'll be doing a summer placement at a consulting firm in a few months... Did you do any internships before started got your permanent role?

Aw thank you so much!! I really appreciate the support ❤️ awesome to hear that you’re doing a summer placement program (get it girl!!) - before receiving the offer for this job I did several internships each summer before my senior year but did not do any direct consulting internships. My first internship was a marketing internship for a magazine and the second was a sales internship with the same company that I’m currently doing consulting with. The experience you get from the placement firm will prepare you super well and will help you determine if it’s a field that you’d like to pursue or not! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions before / during 😊
