John, the producer( and you) did a fantastic job in the video, concise, everything about the video is very pleasant. I have the machine for a couple years now, and completely sold on why I bought this machine in the first place, but when people ask me why I bought it, i can forward this video to them now

Nice mini documentary. Now I can point my friends to this to explain why I bought this machine. 😀

I love this machine and I'm never buying any other machine ever again. So you absolutely succeeded, and for all the reasons that this video shows.

As a longtime Decent owner, this is an excellent video for sharing when people are curious about "what is that?" on my counter

Good reminder of why we love to get lost in the sauce or go down rabbit hole. There is some hardcore traditionlists in any industry but when you can make a leva or londinium shot on this machine anyway can really argue it's not better tool? Thanks for the work you and your team do!

I got really into coffee, and espresso mostly, in 2017-2018. I was looking at people's setups online and fell in love with the DE1. It quickly became my dream machine. It's a machine that matches my nerdy personality so perfectly. I'm wholeheartedly supporting Decent Espresso on their journey. You quickly became one of the big names in home espresso for enthusiasts.

By looking at this and getting an impression of the founders motives and thinking, I‘m now more inclined to buy a DE. The biggest problem with super high tech stuff from small companies is: Will they still be there in 10 years, when the machine needs a repair or parts? Or will I have invested 5,000$ and lose it all when there’s a problem because those who built it and know how to fix it are now elsewhere. Here it seems that there’s indeed a long term goal and commitment, not a straw fire to make money off of a hype. Very good!

How much does your coffee weigh Mr. Buckman? Great video. I own a DE1. I love how your company empowers people to tinker around and get messy. Refreshing in an era where product companies intentionally treat people like idiots and discourage self-repair and modification. I think Buckminster Fuller would be proud.

Great Job, Decent! I never regret for buying this machine, but I regret why didn't I buy it earlier!

Great video! As much as I envy the Decent, I am stuck? with a Profitec pro 700. I have just installed a Pressensor flow rate transducer. Although nothing is technically advanced as a decent, it does provide a huge upgrade to my 2019 machine when paired by BT scales. So not all machines are stuck in the past😊

I'm friends with the Pressensor folks and admire what they do. Your upgrade makes good sense.

Good stuff. I’m a little surprised by some of the slightly angry comments. Hmm. Ah well. Keep going and solidify your long term legacy 👍

I really love your product, but for the future update can you guys consider putting the cord for the tablet to be built in the machine? That alone would improve its minimalism design to another level.

Haven't wanted to do this, because it would mean you could not buy any tablet you want and use it on our machine. I don't want to tie you into the tablet we choose.

I'd like to buy one.... but it's way too loud and annoying... It just ruins the experience. If they made one with a quieter pump I'd be onboard.

All great but even their website doesn’t work, at least on mobile. All the texts are on top of each other. You can’t make a proper website? The machines UI looks disgusting too. It’s great you show all the data but a more practical everyday use UI is necessary too. What am I going to do with graphs? Great to have as an option in case I get interested but please fix up your UI. Also the only reason I’m interested in this machine is because all coffee machines have plastic in contact with the heated water. You have this claim “Most home machines have a plastic water tank: ours is made of food-grade glazed porcelain. No toxic BPA water worries. No aluminum in the water path.” Is there also no plastic in the water path? Or are you saying No toxic BPA just in reference to the water tank? It’s not clear and I suspect you didn’t pay up for a proprietary heating path. So the heated water goes thru plastic tubing doesn’t it?
Make amazing pour-over coffee with this espresso portafilter basket!
