Next thing was the already restored Hetzer. They were not able to take it due to high weight. Seeing how this started, if it ever gets to be a runner this will be the biggest rebuild from scrap ever. Great work guys. Especially doing this in North Queensland where it's 100% humidity one day and %99.9 humidity the rest.

These guys are awesome. Love how Bo works and his laugh and jokes. Makes this old man happy to see them work hard and enjoy what they do. I watch a lot of Tank rebullds and Aus-Armor is the best quality, good music, great narrative. No other tank rebuild show can compete. I also appreciate the work of the filmer - he narrates well, with great selection of music and good film of the project. I am an American and got into 1/16 scale tanks and Aus-Armor is a fun learning experience. Cheers to all of you and Bo's Dad, and all the other builders..

I can only imagine how hard getting parts for this would be. I had a discussion with a team who restore tanks in Europe for a museum collection, they are currently restoring a Panther lost on the Western Front, according to him the Russians have a near complete monopoly on the market making finding original parts very difficult. So kudos to your team, the tank looks amazing.

Hello, Great video! I had the opportunity to get a tour of a this guys personal tank and military collection. He owned and restored a bunch of tanks housed in 4 warehouses at his residence. I understand the Tiger Tank was his favorite and hardest to get. I was super lucky to see all the amazing tanks before he passed away. He had the largest privately owned military vehicle collection in the world. The other thing that was really awesome about it was the tour guides dressed in war time outfits and knew every detail about each tank we were shown. He even had a Skud missile launcher! He was a really great person for letting the general public come and see his passion for tanks and military vehicles. Rest In Peace Mr Littlefield!

@@medical_tomato1206 I mostly think that the tiger(s) were a mistake due to the production cost/difficulties, coupled with how tanks are often lost without contributing much. What I mean is that a tiger is great in battle, and has the potential to destroy several enemies before itself getting destroyed, but it could just as well just get penetrated in the side, or by simply a big gun from the front, or it could be bombed, or it could just break down and have to be abandoned. Just focussing efforts on producing panzer 4s and cheaper tank destroyers would have probably made more sense. My comment may have been a bit rambly, sorry about that :D

This Tiger is a massive credit to your museum and for what it once represented during WWII, even if we consider it belonged to a formidable enemy - its uncovered story does indeed conjure up emotions knowing that its radio operator was killed, very sad but you wonder what impact it may have inflicted on the Allies before its demise Extraordinary work done by your team, i have nothing but admiration for them and their detailed work, its an honour to watch and these videos help to create an everlasting visual document to its ongoing history, your team effort and the work done on her deserve much pride, amazing efforts You mentioned that level of detail near the beginning, the German engineering and efficiency, i guess what with the eventual forced labour, the detail began to fade on where items were located, we cannot forget all those that were forced to work in such hard conditions being threatened with their lives and those that did perish, its near impossible to fathom the numbers involved from the man power right back to those mining the raw materials that drove the mighty German war machine

Lovely to get the whole story in one sitting, great to see it all again! Wonderful projects & great, quality work! Best wishes & compliments to the whole crew. . Always lovely to see the craftsmanship, pride in the work, ATD in the repairs, no matter how large or small. The respect & commitment to retaining everything & anything Possible, for the history in every piece. I had two repair careers, in far smaller items, and watching you all go at it the way you do has my deepest respect. The projects with the deepest history are always the most rewarding & humbling, i can only imagine what you all feel as you find all those bits of history, battle damage & hints of prior hands during the work.
