I think you need a planishing hammer to straighten out some of those bent panels.

As an owner of French cars for many years, with Diesel Engines, I know that French mechanical parts are made to a high standard. Actually better than my former German cars, also with Diesels.

Look around for a French heavy vehicle for the steering wheel, they might have the same spline in the boss.

15:31 one of those tiny tiny pancake jacks would've been schmick there. Your contact in Poland could get you some of their internal production. I've a few, they're really good for fitting into small spaces and giving them the beans.

7:17 ... doesn't that have like a spring that pulls the lever off the arm in rest position? I'm pretty sure i saw a spring in another model. Might be confusing it with another tho.

Great job turning rusted mangled metal into a working facsimile of the real thing. Unbelievable really, considering they were both range targets.

One solution to use rubber seals made in the same fashion as the OG ones, would be to try and get your rubber cut with a waterjet. You'd need a rubber mat that's specific to your needs (so likely something pliable) but if you cut it a few mm smaller on the ID you could repack the seal with new rubber.

Personally, i would've rough welded the tires back, removed whatever's left of the old rubber and used them as work stools with a bit of plate or wood on top. I mean... how many people have stools made out of Grant tank tyres? Could also be good to lift stuff off the ground, like when you're working on plate to remove stuff off it. Probably a few more uses. Scrapping good metal seems a shame, whenever i can, i reuse it internally. I've a few old lanz bulldog wheels that are great carts for heavy stuff to move, they're not fit for our family's Bull, but for stuff like that, they're great.

Amazing rebuild, guys. It's nice to see another vehicle saved from the scrap heap. Much better in a museum where people can get up close and appreciate them.

25:02 not the first to cut those tires off, and by the looks of it, he was even cleaner than the previous person who ran the cut through to the rim all the way across the face.

13:02 that's hard labour there. In the heat, in the humidity, on the ground, in the dirt going at it with a passion. AAAM has the hardest working people!

God bless you hard working gentlemen. You're doing a service to all those who were involved in creating such impressive machines by restoring them to their former glory, and you're doing an even bigger service to those who want to see history kept alive to be appreciated and not repeated!

A good solution to keep new bolts from rusting and giving them a slightly better edge (doesn't always work, the quality of the metal is important) is to heat them up (not cherry hot, but hot enough) that when dunked in used motor oil, they turn flat black. I've had hinges, bolts, all manner of metal that's exposed to the weather 24/7 done up this fashion and it never rusts post treatment.

3:05 finally! Someone who knows how to use one of those drills. I swear, every time i see someone use a mag drill, they're all whaling on that poor thing like it's meant to cut through unobtanium and they're disappointed it can't cut through simple metal! Sheesh.

14:48 makes you wonder why the heck didn't they put threaded holes and bungs on the taper so that when you're not in combat, you can take out the threaded bungs and put one of the bolts through and push from the taper... this is one of the most basic agri things...
