The Great Ocean Road was built by ex soldiers. After the second world war, young soldiers came back to Australia and did not what to do for a while. So they all joined together and started building this road. This road is dedicated to them.

Excellent episode as usual Madhavan’s camera is like lord Vishnu’s 1000 eyes nothing slips away. It is great to drive enjoy solitude with nature. Madhavan is quite resourceful and multi tasking single handedly managing camera , car , commentary and needs of his stomach😂. Tim Tam is one of the best chocolate wafer biscuits which Madhavan had during the drive. In life loneliness also teaches valuable lessons; at times if don’t get lost in trekking we may not find our own way. Eagerly Anticipating part 2 and hope to dash into saurastera Tamil festival prior to his next video which Madhavan advised us to visit. You should have touched upon Geelong. The waterfront over there is just mindblowing. Great ocean drive 1 day tour is really a good choice so that you can visit all the sceneries which you will miss if you drive. Inda uruppudaatha oorula veiyila paathaadaan adisayam. Such a scenic view along the road to GO. I hv been to GO abt 20 yrs ago. It wowed me then and it is still a great journey watching it thru your wonderful video. I noticed tt they hd many stop over spot which is great for tourist. Not sure if they hd then. I took a day tour package in those days which was still enjoyable but I believe driving wld be much more exciting as you can spend quality time at quality spots besides taking pictures. Meanwhile, when I visited Melbourne, I took the GoWest Tours Day Tour starting from 8am in the morning till 8.30pm when I returned back to my room. It was a fantastic experience, a day filled with 8-10 stops at various locations, same as wherever you have visited!
