Today we will take a closer look at a battleground that was cancelled during the original vanilla version (2004) of World of Warcraft
- and even on a later occation too!

Great video!! Who knows, maybe it will end up in Season of Discovery someday! :) ...have you checked out the Night Elf temple in the central area of the Crater? It has a creepy purple texture pack once you go inside... perhaps evidence of Old Gods? :o

Yeah, it was pretty hard to see due to everything turning white depending on which way the camera faced, but it seems to just be a copy of the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus - I certainly hope we get to see it in one of the later phases, or maybe after SoD is concluded

There is a private server which has already had it playable for over a year. They've fleshed it out pretty well too (and I don't mean "playable" I mean it's actually working, and is fun, it's a 40vs40 MOBA BG, akin to DOTA etc.) The staff @ Vanillaplus have really done a great job at imagining and creating something blizzard really could've back in the early 2000's prior to shareholders and profits really driving everything.

Love your videos! Yes, it would be cool if we got to see this in SoD, or maybe a classic plus if that is next. I also think it would be cool if we got a 5man/10man or raid in this zone that involved helping the timbermaw. Its a beautiful zone, love the autumn theme.

Have you ever made a video of the unused part of Blackwing Lair? I feel like I seen a video of it somewhere but I don't know anymore by who it was and Google doesn't help me either

The first time i found about azshara crater was when playing in private TBC server in the early 2010s. Somehow the GMs made it work even though there were no objectives besides kill the other faction
