World of Warships Blitz - "Gouden Leeuw" Stealth Build

Like I mentioned in my initial review, I can imagine a couple of builds for the Gouden Leeuw. This one has been recommended in the comments, going for stealth & speed, to get into position near your island waifu without getting obliterated by the inevitable Colombo.

Dude, I am so happy someone else finally figured this build out for it, I took one look at this cruiser and thought this one would be gold for it, I’ve been doing about as good as I possibly could be in a ship with such limited range.

Concealment is the way to go this whole line

I still think both approaches are viable - the concealment helps getting into a position, the mobility can allow to play in more open situations. But personally, I'd probably choose this build as well.

I went with the meme AAA build for DZP, but for the mainline I’ve been doing the stealth route. The range isn’t great on guns or air strike, a bit squishy… just seemed the way to go - Johnston/NOM

(I knew the little bastard was there!) story of my life Terry!!! Any Japanese dds make me feel this on the heavy island maps and sometimes the British dds….

I'm not a fan of those maps - it's really difficult to compensate for mistakes the team makes. But knowing where enemy DDs are likely to be is half the battle.

I'm working on the line (been doing that since it's release, Dutchies need to stick together) and I like it. Cant' wait fo rthe Gouden Leeus to be in port. The rest is and will stay there. Thanks. I think I'll go with a stealth build with Johan and this. but with the main gun specialization.

Thanks for the video Terry - this Dutch line is ok - guns are not the best - bomb feature is fun - best ship of the line is the Seven Provincien (premium I know) to my opinion - as always greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

Yeah, DzP is a bit too powerful, maybe 😉 I'd say the line is balanced, strengths and weaknesses, plus an interesting, unique mechanic.

Great video , was considering stopping my grind to TX C Colombo to start this line , and I will grind this line , but after finishing the Italian BB line . Not a huge fan of the Super Cruisers , I like them , but not my favorite , very cool ships though .

You can use your air strieks to scout for yourself! Whenever you thought there was a DD, you could have dropped an air strike to spot and see if it's clear or not.

I did airspot the Shima at 6:45, but I prefer not having to waste a strike on that. I also don't know what the spotting range of those planes is, and they can't linger or actively scout like proper carrier planes, so much more of a stop-gap situation. And GL isn't very good at dealing with DDs..
