I got it from the daily missions crate. And, it's my favorite ship so far(total battles just under 10k, 61% WR). Played over 30 battles in it, 93% win rate. It's not OP, but its incredibly strong due to those 360 turrets. The AP is just godly, it's easy to hit 70k if you know what you're doing.

Gotta love that advanced Soviet technology that allows gun barrels to pass through ship superstructures. No wonder they put men in space first.

The rear guns has to elevate to avoid colliding on the superstructure but blitz doesn't have gun elevation animation so the guns just clip through the superstructure.

Another great video, Terry! I really miss the extra torps and the sonars on Nürnberg, but it seems to somehow work out without on the Makarov... I am very torn about this ship.

LG G7 for playing / recording, although it does get a bit slow on the larger maps, and a laptop running Linux for audio recording and video editing.

Great video. Halfway threw the video I had to stop and try it out as I had the ship LoL, I just discredited it Bc the lack of the torpedoes. But I didn’t know about the gimmick. I did get to watch the rest of the video today. One thing, the historic camo was free or maybe Bc I already had the camo for the nürnburg. Idk either way I saw it was 1500 gold on your account and wondered why. After a few rounds with it I liked it an it was fun . But if they take away the gimmick 👎.

I like this ship a lot. The gun traverse is great and doesn't take as long as the Nurnberg. On my first game I got a high calibur medal. I wish that the two torpedo tubes weren't removed, but then this ship would be overpowered.

So far this my favourite Soviet premium. 360 turrets make this ship OP. It might look like Nuremberg but its a very different beast. It's very easy to hit 50k damage. One on one no other tier 6 cruiser stands a chance.

@@lebkuchenmann7663 I find Spee to be lacking for my playstyle. 2x3 turrets lack both alpha or dps. Secondaries somewhat make up for it but they are not effective against frigates. But the biggest problem is that you loose half your firepower when you go nose in.

Hey Terry when you do a ship review, can you try to do more than 1 battle? Cuz most your battles includes potato team and when you do more than one you have a chance to run into some really good teams. I just want to see how you react to difference situations (me secretly hoping to go against Terry one day lel........Are you on NA or EU?)

I'm on NA on my personal, and Asia on the press account. I've kept it to one battle to try and stay within a 15-20m length for review videos, but when I'm doing non-review stuff, I often do more than one. When recording, I usually pick a battle that lets me display the aspects of a ship. E.g. if I get one where nothing happens for pretty much the second half, I wouldn't use it, since I want something entertaining. I'll do some tier 10 stuff again, for more of a challenge ;)

🤔I wish I reliably ran into potato teams! It happens, but its not routine! I promise you that if you can show me where/when to login for regular games against "spuds", I'll promise NOT to upload any of the games for review(not that I'd ever actually planned on uploading a youtube video of my own making on WOWSB anyway)....

The endless crates from the pass are meh.. only credits and free xp.. wich isnt bad on its own.. the camo from it is crap, and resources / gold is as rare as premium ships in gamble crates.. BUUT Makarov rocks! Tho its 9mm pistol.. but this is machine gun! 6,5sec and 3 rapid reloads that gets it to 5,4 or so lol 😝 HE is crap but doesnt matter with this ap and firerate.. not as laser guided as molotov but very good Feels like black nürnberg or buffed königsberg 😇 And the 360 turrets are perfect 👌🏾 Finally another op ship 😂

yeah, you can see how they're making her "more Soviet" by buffing the guns and taking some torps out. Quite a nice ship.

With the new Blitz Pass you actually get a lot of Free XP. I have mushroomed up to 4 hundred thousand XP and considering skipping Ibuki and jumping to Zao.

I really like Mogami. She has no less than 15 6 inch guns. This was the version of the ship before the 8 inch upgrade. If you like the light CLs that spam HE she is one of those ships. The guns are a bit slow to reload/ around 9 seconds but there are 15. She has 4 X 3 torpedo launchers. These are the Long Lance like on Takao and Maya, just 1 less torp per spread. She is pretty fast too, over 34 knots, so good as a fla king ship.

They replaced the German "flying saucer" catapult, which unfortunately isn't featured in game, with Rasputin's transdimensional phase array. Easy.

I do like cruisers, but I'm still on tier 7 on the IJN line. Thinking to do those more often, after the USN BBs are done, or the French CAs.

Fun and games with Terry - I thought Myoko was OK but Takao is one of the really great ships in the game. With 10 8 Inch guns in 5 turrets, good HE, and 4 X 4 Torpedo tubes, it can inflict a lot of damage fast. Especially if you go with enhanced turning you can launch 8 spin and launch another 8 killing a battleship. It is also great at area denial long range torpedo spreads in the CAP. If it had either smoke or radar it would be the perfect ship. When I play carriers, I try and knock these ships out quick.

Admiral Makarov is a Koenigsberg clone is how I subscribe it because what Wargaming Done is they taken the Koenigsberg make it one tier higher make it to look like a Numberg and make it Russian well Admirad Makarov needs a Rework

I've got a review scheduled for the Normandie. Generally, she's finally got some good speed going. Armour is not the greatest, so I play her more like a battlecruiser.

Wow, I have almost the same beard as Admiral Makarov! Well, truthfully speaking, mine is much longer and bushier, and I allow my entire sideburns to grow 2× longer than the lower beard, so that my sideburns stick out 18 inches(46cm) on each side, making my facial profile appear to be 44 inches wide! I call it an Ambrose Burnside/Makarov beard! I dye it bright "ginger red" too! I just know its the right look for modern times! 👍😁👌
