@@wesleylarsen6597 Honestly, a little better than in the Worcester. The Minotaur at least has a smokescreen, so it isn't completely dependent on islands for cover. I've never played the radar Minotaur, but looking at how I function in the Worcester I would probably play even worse.

@bassmaster100 I played 700 games in the mino, and played first 250 games as a radar mino, it's a different playstyle then the smoke mino, but I can tell you I learned how to dodge, how to bait enemies firing into a angled citadel armor at what angle. I learned a lot about that ship. Now I play smoke mino, but the amount of successful smoke firing on my is stupid,been blabbed to many times. I have the Des moins as well, and like to get the Wooster. But I see them as similar as the mino, except with HE and mino with torps. I think if you play well in the mino, you should be able to make this ship work as well.

Gotta love how Heavy Cruisers are completely irrelevant in this game, unless they're the Des Moines with its insane autoloader. What's the point in hitting what, 20% harder per gun, when the Light Cruiser you're facing fires 500% faster with twice as many guns?

The worchester lacks the following to be loaded with absolutely everything in the game: Torpedoes Smokescreen Speed/engine booster Torpedo reload booster (see the lack of torpedoes) Main battery reload booster Scout Plane Catapult fighter Given it's potent AA, hydro and radar, it doesn't really need the planes. That leaves us with: Torpedoes and associated reload booster Smokescreen Speed/engine booster Main battery reload booster Yea, it basically has it all.

A lot of people hate the Worcester cause it's so good, but let me take this time to shit on the BAD Worcester players. (Yes they do exist!) Once you play the Worcester even ONCE, you realize "Damn why do I play anything else?" Like, if you get spotted just pop your radar and you get a free DD kill. Cruisers just can't compete in a 1v1, and 90% of them will open their broadside to you. BBs, well let's just say I literally open up my broadside to BBs to get more guns firing and they overpen me 99/100, so not taking too much damage (plus stacking that adrenalin rush!) That is if they can even hit you, which is hard if you just use WASD. And carriers... well usually after melting their bomber squad at like 8.6km, they decide to go drop someone else. All of those are open water fights, so just imagine if you had island cover which you basically always can. So after grinding the Seattle, (which maybe its just me but damn that ship is hot trash), you get to the Worcester and it's like the power of god in your hand. And listen! This is NOT me stroking my ego, literally go buy the Worcester and you might as well start every game with 100k damage it's an absolute farm. I'm saying all this because when you see an insanely shitty Worcester player, when you know how much of a cakewalk it is, your brain completely shuts down longer than the US government.

Even with Worcester broadside it's very difficult to citadel the ships since it's so close to the water line... Even if there are bad Worcester players, the ship is still far too powerful... That's a fact.

Nonsense, I eat them for breakfast in my DM. 1-2 AP salvos and their back to the port screen. I cashed in all my Free XP for Worcester when it went live. It's a good ship I don't argue that, but DM and Hindenburg just wreck Worcester hard. So not sure what you mean that other Cruisers can't compete. I still find DM much more consistent and punishing. Easy to carry in DM/Hindenburg. If you can't compete with a Worcester, I think you have other issues holding you back.

Some parts in your comment are correct. Rest is nonsense. If you give broadside to a semi decent BB player he will make you regret your decisions. Heavy cruisers can shit on you all day long as well unless it's some sort of knife-fight and they are braindead.

Agreed, most teams are..... ....although you should rather say they aren't potato, because a potato usually has some consistence......instead I would call most of my teams biscuits, crumbly biscuits! As that describes their ability to stand up to an enemy team more precisely.. *This post may contain traces of irony and sarcasm*

I actually played against MyTeamIsProbPotato yesterday in a tier 8 standard battle match, and all I can say is that his name is pretty accurate. He was is in a Lightning with 3 or 4 other destroyers. he was the only DD on his team to survive as most of them suicided within the first 5 minutes. He managed several perfect torpedo strikes completely in stealth and broke through the middle which forced me (in a Scharnhorst) to break off and help reinforce our cap. Near the end of the game he had effectively tied down half of our team in a wild goose chase, which would have been bad for us, if it weren't for the fact, that his team was in fact full of potatoes and failure cascaded to the point there was it was just Probably Potato, and a CV who really couldn't do much at that point, and they lost the match. (He was top of his team, of course) I actually recognized the name as soon as I saw it on the Battle startup screen and gave him a shoutout in chat. He told us later on it chat that in his 5 previous games, his team was just as bad if not worse, and as a guy who has been in that situation on many occasions I definitely felt for the guy. That being said, I can assure everyone here that MyTeamisProbPotato is no Potato himself and is in fact a really good player and a real challenge to play against.

The "legendary" upgrade for the Shimakaze is TOTAL SHIT ... because even though you reduce your reload by 25% ... your torp rotation speed decreases by 80% ... slower than a dead granny could manage it. The "normal" upgrade in that slot reduces the reload by 15% ... and NO reduction in rotation speed.

It's just that the player from a leading clan should be a bit more aware of the battle situation and the characteristics of his current opponents. and care about positioning a bit more. He acted dumb here - he is called a potato. maybe the next replay will be from him - and he will be called a hero. He is a potato here, period.

In this battle the salem offered his support and backed out, I sat on cap to avoid points running out of control and shot at the biggest threat/ship i could actually kill at the time. Jingles is mainly about entertainment so I don't blame him for not properly reading the situation. If I could go back I'd make the same decision

Nice to know that I am not the only one grinding away to get ships. I have made it to T 10 BB (American) this way. Granted I chose to stick with Cruisers and Battleships only. I am developing a curiosity for Destroyers, but I suck at Torps. Anyway still trying to bring my stats up .... I started the game with no guidance whatsoever, so I have not been happy with my performance overall. Deciding to stick with my current ships until my accuracy improves. I still want the Des Moines to complete my fleet, but I do not think that I have the skills to fight it effectively. Love the game .... and I enjoy your vids.

I recently unlocked Worcester myself and I cannot seem to make it work for me. It honestly feels like I could perform better in the Cleveland than I can in a Worcester, and it's bothering me that I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong in it. On the other hand I love my heavy cruiser Salem, and can very easily make it work battle after battle. Maybe I'm just not a CL guy after all, but still somehow the Cleveland (both the tier 6 and 8 versions) always jived with me.

While Hallsey has some skills, I think those skills activate pretty late in game for it to be fully useful. And even then: highly situational. Also: Jingles being Jingles, he forgot about the speed boost! :D

USS Worcester, my first T10 ship and I only have 12 games so far in it. Hard play style to learn with island hugging. One question I have is when to use AP? I've gone whole matches using just HE. I have shot at cruisers with AP and done very little damage. Am I shooting wrong?
