Also - I totally meant to say but must have forgotten to edit in: The other reason for the second layer is to prevent ANY of these chilis from getting on your fingers. If they had surface NOT covered in resin, it could be a BAD day. Imagine you're just chilling and rolling some dice, and then you rub your eye, or go to the bathroom... Yeah no thank you.

Just be careful with the Carolina reaper. They really are unimaginably hot. Even for hot pepper lovers. The name and look of them is fitting. They are even more scary and evil than the name or look of them would suggest. If you have a working survival instinct, you should be afraid of them. For context another type of really hot pepper called 7 pot, is mainly used in the Caribbean and got its name because just one chilli is enough to spice up 7 cauldron like big pots of stew (and still have all of them end up being more spicy than most non-Caribbean’s would want to eat. And feel like your are breathing fire for a while). I believe most 7 pot hot peppers are around 1 millions scoville. While Carolina reapers are around 1 to 2 millions scoville. I would recommend people look up videos of people eating Carolina reapers here on KZfaq before you start eating ones yourself. They aren’t exaggerating. The body has a pretty strong reaction to eating something so unbelievably hot.
@HenryLoenwind
@HenryLoenwind Жыл бұрын
Cooking instructions: Take an empty 5-gallon pot. Hold the sealed bag of peppers into the pot for 5 seconds. Do NOT let it touch the pot! Remove the bag from the country, then rinse the pot 7 times with fresh water. Use your favourite chilli recipe but leave out all possible sources of additional hotness. Make sure to warn your guests that the dish is hot, we recommend you have them sign a waiver. ;)

I had an idea for a hollow fluid dice set a few weeks ago. Aluminum oxide in some kind of fluid. At work we have to scuff up aluminum for the paint to adhere to it and we use acetone to clean it. But the oxide swirled around in the acetone in a "Magic Black Smoke" kind of way and I thought it would be neat in a set of dice.

That would look cool but would sadly completely ruin their functionality as dice. With dice you have to remove as many bubbles as you possibly can as air pockets can throw off the weight of the dice and leave you with something that only ever rolls the same number. Maybe he could do tiny balls of clear silicone to look like bubbles for an underwater set?

This is slightly off topic, but I got into a discussion online a couple weeks ago about spicy foods. It started when someone pointed out that, because of their fire resistance, any food that a tiefling would find to be spicy would be inedible to any other race. Someone else argued that spicy food doesn't cause fire damage, but acid damage, and challenged people to "change my mind." I accepted that challenge and argued that spicy food doesn't actually cause any physical damage, just that the body and mind thinks it is causing damage. This is because spicy foods directly trigger the pain receptors without causing the damage the receptors are supposed to detect. Therefore, I argued that spicy food actually causes psychic damage, and any acid damage that might be caused is just a result of your body reacting to the psychic damage.

Technically there is some corrosive element to certain peppers! Back when I still was trying to climb the scovile chain, I made it to habaneros, and you have to be very careful with those things, as the oil from them can eat through the container you're holding them in, or any tools used to prepare them. Soooo very slight acid damage, but certainly in the minority.
