It was fantastic you went to such a small comp after winning WSM. You are great.

The more I see of Mitch Hooper the more I like him. He is at the top of Strongman, and he has all of the qualities of a top Strongman. He gives back. He cheers for others. With Brian retired I feel lost. He is what kept me so involved with Strongman. No other Americans are replacing him in our hearts (Brian’s millions of Americans). But, the way Mitch stopped on the power stairs when we all knew he could have gone up the next step, to watch Brian finish his career shows such respect. Mitch, if you are reading this, you have gained a fan in me. No one can replace Brian, but you are Mitch Hooper, you’re own man. You are going to find many of Brian’s fans going over to you. You made such an impression at the Shaw Classic. Since Brian did not take the winning price money, you were in first place. You are the World’s Strongest Man, and The Strongest Man on Earth’s first place prize money winner.

This was an awesome experience and I wish I could've made Mitch a prophet and won! Second place was good enough for me though for my first competition and it's got me pumped for the next one!

I remember (and spectated) the old King of the Klondike competitions in Hawrelak Park. It's good to see strongman in place today and lots of support for the competitors.

Definitely love content that shows grassroots competitions. Helps us see where we can get involved in the sport and that it's a pretty laid back supportive crew

Awesome when retired athletes shine some light on the grassroots of their sport, but for Mitch to do this when he sits on top of the tree is incredible. Good on yer mate, and good luck at the Shaw Classic

Just signed up for my 2nd contest. Lift for Autism 2024 in April. My home gym hosts 3 contests a year so I am very lucky 😊

How can you not like Mitch. At first I just did not like him because he beat Brian in the group at the WSM then as the year went along and meeting him in Myrtle Beach I’m mad at myself that I did not like him at one point lol he’s so nice and awesome.

Well darnit. I live just outside Edmonton and didn't even know there was a strongman competition at K days. Is there any sort of a list for grassroots strongman competition or anything in Canada. I like to see Mitchell win but I also love to see him giving back to the sport like this. Missed the k days so I guess gotta head online for some shirts

definitely this is were these things begin.... here in the US it's always a street level start for anything really (hence why success in the US has alot to do with street smarts, not even college degrees) can't wait for the follow-up
