29:50 Canadian tire stores began as more of an automotive place. Then over time branched out to sell housewares. It is a great seasonal store for whatever you may need for whatever season. You can purchause various automotive, housewares, seasonal supplies here and get your car fixed. They speacialize in tire sells and changes but will install sterios etc for vehicles.

Thanks for showing me a part of the city I had never visited. I grew up in Montreal age 1-14 (1958-1972) then we moved to Toronto. I have lived in Florida for 20 years. I notice how slow the pace of life is there. It looks a lot like other parts of the city low-rise sprawl. I would be surprised that there was danger in Montreal. Unless it is at night.

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Winter is quite different, especially in Montreal where there is a lot of snow. It is difficult to see all of Canada because it is underpopulated and spread out. I had a generally nice upbringing in Montreal. They say the Quebec childhood is happy. I have seen a lot of changes in South Florida over the last 20 years but I have had opportunities here I wouldn't have had in Canada.

The "look" of these neighborhoods in Montreal remind me a bit of St. Louis, where I live. One difference is that we don't have all the balconies and outside stairways that seem to be common in Montreal.

At the 4:04 mark you see the exit (74) to Iberville Street (Rue d'Iberville). That's the off ramp I would take often to visit my in-laws, who at the time lived in the St. Michel district. You'll notice an 'Frenglish' billboard ahead on the right. ('RIRE" means laugh) It's promoting a local comedian's (Sugar Sammy) standup show themed on growing up in Montreal as an ethnic East-Indian (Punjabi) and going to French school growing up.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but graffiti is not an outlet for staying off drugs in any country it is primarily a way for gangs to mark their territories. I like montreal and the rest of the province, in fact Montreal is the most multilingual city in the north america, a quarter of the population speaks 3 languages, is not only haitians in there, there's tons of north africans, lebanese, francophone Africans, latinos, french people" France", it's a diverse city of Francophone nationalities, but sadly the rest of Canada don't like them just for being Quebecois .

I am an Uber driver who has worked in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. I ask tourists for their opinions about Canada and write them in a notebook. I have been an Uber driver in Montreal for a year. More than 50% of the tourists I have driven have said that this year is the first and last time they will come to Canada, especially Montreal. They believe that Montreal is not a developed, clean, beautiful, or safe city. They were surprised by the worn asphalt, graffiti, garbage, and the countless number of homeless people and drug addicts. They were also surprised by the number of dilapidated houses and broken sidewalks. They said that, until today, even in poor countries, they have never seen such a large number of stray, homeless, addicted, and violent people. They believed that most of the good things they had heard about Canada were false advertising, and they described Montreal as a run-down third-world city.
