Oh I can see why. Sirfetche'd would have been the MVP on Ash's team if it wasn't for Lucario putting on a performance at the end.

True, but his knightly spirit is one of the most upright unbeatable ones in the history of the pokemon anime though🗡️

1:18 “What is that?” That Pokémon is called Spiritomb. It’s a dual-type Ghost/Dark Pokémon. 1:53 “I don’t know what happened?” Spiritomb used a move called Dream Eater. It’s a damage-dealing Psychic-type move. The description states: The user eats the dreams of a sleeping target. The user's HP is restored by half the damage taken by the target. 2:08 “I know that Pokémon, I just forgot it’s name.” That Pokémon is called Roserade. It’s a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon. 3:02 “I’ve seen that Pokémon before, I don’t know what it’s called.” That Pokémon is called Togekiss. It’s a dual-type Fairy/Flying Pokémon. 3:22 “What is that attack?” That move is called Zen Headbutt. It’s a damage-dealing Psychic-type move. The description states: The user focuses its willpower to its head and attacks the target. This may also make the target flinch. 3:34 “What is that? That’s new!” That move is called Earth Power. It’s a damage-dealing Ground-type move. The description states: The user makes the ground under the target erupt with power. This may also lower the target's defensive stats. 4:09 “Okay that’s new! I’ve never seen Pikachu use that move.” That is actually called Counter Shield. It’s a a tactic developed by Ash Ketchum in Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl. Ash developed this technique while trying to find a way to prevent Fantina's Pokémon from making his Pokémon sleep with Hypnosis. It was eventually used for both offensive and defensive purposes. Ash took inspiration from the Contest Battle between Dawn and Lila in the Celestic Contest in Battling The Generation Gap! to develop this technique. 4:31 “What is that, what’s happening?” Cynthia's Spiritomb used the move Destiny Bond. It’s a non-damaging Ghost-type move. The description states: After using this move, if the user faints, the Pokémon that landed the knockout hit also faints. Its chance of failing rises if it is used in succession. 5:15 “Ughh! What is that?” That move is called Poison Jab. It’s a damage-dealing Poison-type move. The description states: The target is stabbed with a tentacle or arm steeped in poison. This may also poison the target. 5:53 “Iron vs Bite?” Dracovish actually used Fishious Rend. It’s a damage-dealing Water-type move. The description states: The user rends the target with its hard gills. If the user attacks before the target, the power of this move is doubled. 6:48 “What is that move?” That move is called Scale Shot. It’s a damage-dealing Dragon-type multi-strike move. The description states: The user attacks by shooting scales two to five times in a row. This move boosts the user's Speed stat but lowers its Defense stat. 9:14 “Wait what this?” That is, to put it simply, Lucario and Ash’s Aura Bond. Lucario and Ash are able to communicate with each other through the power of Aura. In JN108, Ash claimed that Lucario's Aura felt similar to his bond with his Greninja. Greninja later demonstrated this Aura ability and helped Lucario polish its own Aura. After training with Greninja, Lucario and Ash were able to sync up more than before, allowing Lucario to create a giant Aura Sphere. In JN109, Lucario used this newfound synchronicity to draw power from the Aura of its allies and make its Aura Sphere grow even bigger than before. 9:23 “Greninja?! Wait huh?” As stated above, Greninja also has this Aura ability, so when he helped train Lucario’s Aura, it created a link of sorts between him, Lucario, and Ash. Lucario’s Aura was so powerful during the battle that Greninja was able to sense it all the way from Kalos. 11:03 “Oh shoot! What is happening here?” The move that Lucario used was called Reversal. It’s a damage-dealing Fighting-type move. The description states: An attack that increases in power if the user's HP is low. It could turn the tide in battle. 12:42 “Is that what put Dragonite to sleep?” Yes. Hypnosis is a non-damaging Psychic-type move. The description states: The user employs hypnotic suggestion to make the target fall into a deep sleep. 13:34 “Is that the evolution to Togepi?” Sort of. Togepi evolves into Togetic when leveled up with high friendship, which evolves into Togekiss when exposed to a Shiny Stone. 14:15 “Max Airstream? I don’t know what that is?” Max Airstream is a damage-dealing Flying-type Max Move. The description states: This is a Flying-type attack Dynamax Pokémon use. This raises ally Pokémon's Speed stats. 15:58 “And not least we got Garchomp, which I was surprised Cynthia didn’t use Mega Evolution.” Well she couldn’t. During the Master’s Eight Tournament, you’re only allowed to use one Hynix per battle. Since she already used Dynamax, she wasn’t allowed to use Mega Evolution. 16:40 “And the fourth one was…?” That was Scale Shot. While Garchomp did use Stealth Rock, it was only shown briefly. That’s why Ash's Sirfetch'd threw its shield around, to destroy the hidden rocks. Stealth Rock sets an entry hazard around the target Pokémon. Pokémon on the target's field receive damage upon switching in. 17:36 “I don’t think I saw gleam.” Gengar actually did use Dazzling Gleam at 2:42. 18:51 “It used Thunder Shock, Thunderbolt, or Thunder; one of those three moves. I’m gonna say Thunder.” Nope. Pikachu only knows Thunderbolt now, so he used Thunderbolt. 20:20 “Did he use Meteor Assault or Fury Cutter?” He used them both. He used Fury Cutter against Milotic and Meteor Assault against Garchomp. He rammed himself right into her face with that move. 20:52 “Force Palm and Double Team were both introduced in this battle.” That’s actually wrong. The reason they’re listed like that is because each move has a note under it. The note under Force Palm says this: Lucario knew this move as a Riolu, but executed it in 'PJ046: Getting More Than You Battled For!' While the note under Double Team says this: Mega Lucario knew this move as a Riolu, but executed it in 'PJ108' Reversal also has a note under it which states: Mega Lucario knew this move as a Riolu, but executed it in 'PJ125' Basically, the moves Lucario’s used were Aura Sphere, Bullet Punch, Double Team, and Reversal. Does that make sense? It’s kind of confusing. 21:42 “Lucario’s hand was glowing orange against Garchomp. Maybe that’s Reversal, I don’t know?” That was Reversal. This was an spectacular reaction!! I can’t wait for your next video!!

Thank you once again pokedex Kindra. You cleared up a lot of concerns and confusion I had with this battle. I didn't know the breakdance thunderbolt Pikachu was using, had an actual name. Is countershield an actually move because I thought pokemon can only have 4 moves at a time? I vaguely remember someone in the comments telling me that Ash's Lucario is different than other Lucario. I forget it can also use Aura like Greninja which is cool. I know that Cynthia could only use one gimmick, but I was surprised she went with Dynamax instead of mega evolution. We saw here use mega evolution Gardevoir against Iris, so I just assume she would use it again. Ah so Lucario did know force palm and double team. I'm assuming Lucario has some different moves that its mega evolution form doesn't know. Interesting. This was a spectacular battle. I knew this battle was over the course of three episodes, but I wasn't sure how good the animation would be. I'm glad the animators took the time to make this amazing and beautiful.

@@mycupoftea_1 You’re welcome as always. Counter Shield isn’t an actual move, it’s just a improvised move/tactic created by Ash. Well, Lucario is known as the Aura Pokémon, so every Lucario can use Aura. Ash’s Greninja, however, is a different story. He’s the only Greninja that has been shown using Aura. Some theorize that the Bond Phenomenon was actually created by Aura. There’s a video made by Pokeferlax, titled ‘Ash-Greninja's AURA-Bond Phenomenon REVEALED’ I suggest watching that for more information. I think all the Pokémon fans thought the same thing when they saw the battle. Cynthia loves being mysterious, I guess. I fully agree. Overall, this was a fast paced battle with high stakes and the writers did not disappoint.

This was one of the greatest battles of all of Pokémon history, It had everything, great moments for both Ash and Cynthia and having animation moments and at the end just a fist to fist combat because they were both tired near the end and this was a really great moment for Ash and you can definitely tell with the expression on his face after he won which was similar when he fought Gary and became the Aloala champion and Love how It was in three episodes, so they can definitely make sure to spend their time wisely and I really love the reaction to this one,it reminds me when I first saw your reaction with Ash Vs Alian and it was so fun to remember your reaction and of course love the information at the end it’s alwasy fun to see what the moves were and love how you had some reactions that I had the same watching these episodes and don’t worry no matter how long the videos are,I’ll always watch them till the end!!! And my gosh this was so worth it after so long, Fans have waited over a decade to finally see them fight and it was completely amazing and love that Ash and Cynthia were both thinking and making strategys,even ash bringing up a old Staregy with Pikachu to fight and love how Sirfetched fought so hard,and even bringing up his training thanks to Clemonts help and I love that Greninja moment so much showing how he could sense them far away cause Kalos is Pokemon version of France and Galor is the Pokémon version of UK so that means greninja could sense them from 678.5 miles apart from each other and show how the Aura is really strong with Ash and Lucario which was interesting and fun and me and my brother were so hype to see this happened and we’re wondering how Ash is going to win or if he was gonna win at all and now our boy Ash is the Second strongest Pokémon trainer in the world and even Team rocket was there rooting for ash to win and called him “the Champion Killer”,(they were there to try to steal Pokemon but ended up serving food to everyone and rooting for Ash to win which was fun to see)which is an awesome nickname and fun fact this is was supposed to be Cynthia last match ever cause she was going to retired which she told Diantha in the beginning but then after the match she decided to keep on being a Pokemon champion cause she almost forgot how fun/memorable it’s is to fight with her Pokémon,which she told to Diantha after the match and now it’s Leon!!!, I’m definitely worried if he fights Leon considering how they showed him to be the unstoppable champion but me and my brother are still going to root for him and hope he becomes the worlds greatest Pokémon trainer/Master,either way that’s all I wanted to say and keep on going and love your commentary and hope you and your family have a great day/Stay safe. 👍🏼⭐️💙🐸🦉😆💛⭐️👍🏼

The Move pikachu used was a improvised attack called countershield it was used in Sinnoh to fight Fatina to counter hypnosis Pikachu uses it in the battle of Lake Acuity with his rematch with Paul.

Oh interesting. I didn't know the breakdance move had an actually name. Is there a reason why Pikachu use that move because it looked like it was using thunder while dancing? Also I have seen Paul vs Ash twice before, but I don't think I have seen countershield use. It must have been a different battle.
@thecriticalghost4626
@thecriticalghost4626 Жыл бұрын
@@mycupoftea_1 Well, the countershield is used breakdancing while using an attack, that prevents some direct moves and also deals damage, Pikachu used it alongside thunderbolt, and the reason he Used it here was to block spiritomb's hypnosis, and Pikachu it's not the only one who used it chimchar and buizel are the other Ash's Pokémon that used this strategy, chimchar stopped using it after evolving into infernape, and even Paul used it in their final match in the sinnoh league with his gastrodon In their lake acuity battle you can see it fully kzfaq.info/get/bejne/htdya7Fzx8-zcX0.html

Nice reaction i really love the battle it was a fast paced battle with awsome strategies cynthia has the best battle iq of the anime btw here is some spiritumb lore because its cool : spiritumb is actually the conglomeration of 108 spirits that were sealed by a mysterious traveler in a technology called "odd keystone" (its not the one for the mega evolution but a different artifact) 500 years before the events of pokemon legends arceus so its like in year 1300 the spirits inside the odd keystone are evil but some of them can be good. Stange enough the odd keystone a fucking LEGENDARY item only costs like seven bucks, imma stop my nerding now
@mycupoftea_1
@mycupoftea_1 Жыл бұрын
Spiritomb sounds like it should be one of the strongest pokemon out there. A total of 108 spirits sealed by some mysterious person? Like how does someone catch this pokemon? You can keep nerding out. Recently someone told me the pokedex of garbodor which makes me somewhat like that pokemon 😅
@Caporal_Croaporal
@Caporal_Croaporal Жыл бұрын
@@mycupoftea_1 well no its 108 spirits by odd keystone since there exist multiple spiritumbs so we can pretty much assume that the guy who sealed the spirits was an exorcist, and you can find them in old ruins like abandoned ships, trains and ruins in sinnoh and hoenn. Yes they are pretty rare pokemon nearly legendaries from my interpretation

The thing pikachu used it's called Counter Shield, a strategy involving spinning with it's attack to repel moves and deal damage at the same Time, this was created in Sinnoh and came in handy many times, Ash used it here maybe to make a callback to the sinnoh series since he Is fighting the sinnoh champion after all. Also, this battle was so epic! Considering that most of the masters 8 battle we're somewhat rushed, having a battle with the length of 3 episodes was refreshing, specially since Cinthya Is way too different from the other trainers, making a Lot of switches everytime giving our boy pressure. Sirfetch'd was the mvp, taking that milotic and actually putting a fight and damaging Garchomp was something no one expected, I'm so proud, and from Cinthya's side that damn spiritomb destroyed half of Ash's team it was insane Also you might be surprised but this togekiss is way stronger in the games, it's stats are so high and has dick moves and abilities, it feels like hell fighting one of those

Dragonites shes been treated like crap dude lol. Like since it's already bad enough we barely get time to see Ashs mons like even interact or develop but to have that and the constant Ls and yeah she could possibly beat Leon's mons but even if that's the case the scaling makes no sense with how badly they've written him.

I know Ash's Dragonite is super strong but loses sometimes. However, I did not expect to see it get beat so easily to spiritomb. Yeah there's a 99% chance that Leon takes the win against Ash. The only possible way I can see Ash winning is if Greninja came back. And if Ash went back to Professor Oak's place and got some of his pokemon back like Charizard, and the homie Krookodile.

I think you should react to Ash vs Tyson because its a really good final league match for the Hoenn league and is quite underrated in my opinion.
