Pokemon is THEEEE biggest media franchise in all of history, this includes all movie, tv shows, games etc, and it leads by far. Pokemon will never end at this rate

Pokémon season 19 (XYZ) was the best it ever was. It peaked with the battles the animation, it was also the most mature it got. Ash even got kissed. The plot was good, it was just perfect. Wish there were any reactions to it 😔

That's just untrue. Animation has been way better in Alola and beyond, due to moving to full digital production. Artstyle was perfected in Journeys and Horizons - and it follows the best balance of being cute enough for target audience which is 5-12 and fierce enough to appease older audiences. And it's the closest to Sugimori (creator of Pokemon) artstyle. And story wise - XY had the worst fillers. Alola brought the most mature topics with death and grief and parenting (it cut on the borders sometimes though). Journeys had the best progression for Ash with Masters 8 being the best tournament arc to this day (awful fillers though). And Horizons has the best writing we had ever (objectively the best series up to date, as they went full quality on that). Also there is no such thing as season 19. American nomenclature doesn't matter - XYZ was and is part of the XY saga and should be counted as such. And that season overall was good, but it wasn't perfect. It had very slow pace and a lot of bad fillers. Improvement from BW, but worse than Horizons and comparable in quality to Alola. Also there are multiple people who do react to Pokemon, but it is a hard piece of bread, due to Pokemon Co. going hardcore on copyright claims.

@@mjm3091in terms of filler pokemon journeys is as bad as it gets so much so that even canon episodes feel like fillers . It also had one of the worst leages in the whole series barring a few battles

I’d agree with @smithy. I’ve only seen a few Pokémon seasons because I like playing the games more so than watching the anime but I just still can’t get over how the art style changed from XYZ to Sun & Moon so drastically

Team Rocket actually became VERY serious in Black and White. They even changed into black uniforms, stopped blasting off (they instead flew away on jetpacks before they could be blasted off), and stopped following Ash around. They were saved for either major arcs or appeared when they only encountered Ash by chance. However, the Japanese audience HATED the change. Even Jessie and James's Japanese VA's hated it. So, after about 30 episodes, they slowly switched back. They became more comedic again but still retained some of their newfound seriousness. By X/Y, though, it was back to normal. Team Rocket and Gen 5's villain team, Team Plasma, were set to clash in a two-part episode. But, unfortunately, a massive Earthquake hit Japan before the episodes aired. And since the episodes had citywide destruction (literally having Pokémon fire off Hyper Beams from a helicopter into buildings), they deemed inappropriate and canceled it. The problem this wasn’t a throwaway episode, but a major one that impacted the story. So, they retconned it and just skipped to the Gym battle that would take place after.

That's what its about. I love our old good Team Rocket. The scene where they let go of Lugia in Pokémon 2000 and just plummet through the sky literally brings tears to my eyes every time lol.

Pokemon IS the biggest franchise in the world :p Veronica Taylor voiced Ash till gen 4 and then Sarah Natochenny took over for the rest, so like 10 years + 16 years for each

plus, to put it simply: Mega Evolution upgraded the forms of certain Pokèmons DURING BATTLES ONLY. Charizard and Mewtwo are the only Pokèmons that got 2 Mega Evolutions each (!)

i will add that the Pokèmons LITERALLY GETTING BIGGER is called Dynamax. and when that happens, but a Pokèmon ALSO CHANGES IT'S LOOK, it's called Gigantamax

"I wonder if Ash ever has any love interests" Misty in the original series was always interpreted as the love interest in the original series and 4kids even pushed that hard during those times. Then later on XY and Serena comes in with an actual canonical crush on Ash.

For the first pokemon diamond and pearl movie, rise of darkrai, they actually sang a completely different version of we will be heroes where only the refrain was the same. In many peoples opinion it is much better than the show opening version, and its the last one sang by the guy who was singing them since ruby and saophire

Ash was peak in Kanto and Johto for the humor and roasts, he was his highest peak in sinnoh, Kalos, Alola (surprisingly) and journeys!

during sun and moon team rocket were kinda stronger then ash and kept being close to stealing pikachu but another pokemon who i call "rapeymon" kept coming in and stealing them away Team rocket needed help that generation they were being kept captive by a big bear like pokemon

Yeah definitely should check the Japanese ones. Americans cut a lot of ethnic stuff from the show, including the music - which is such a travesty, because they really go all out, later on, to make the quality of Pokemon openings top notch (which is opposite to American ones, that started getting mediocre elevator jingles). 24:00 The openings are short and fast, because they cut the most out of the episodes to fit the most ads.
