Who gives a shit about how you’re supposed to feel. This world is so fucked because everybody is engrossed by what other people think about them, their thoughts, and beliefs. You do you and if you find it funny than just enjoy yourself and don’t take everything so serious all the damn time.

I wonder why no funny movies like this are ever made anymore. There is nothing wrong with this movie. It’s a comedy, and being upset by this today is dumb. It’s a comedy people, with ridiculous characters. A comedy, not a serious commentary on societal issues. It’s a comedy

@@markprice5651Not really. Always Sunny did black face…multiple times. Had a whole episode on whether it was okay for Frank to call Mac a gay slur to save his life. Drops the n-word in multiple episodes. Has an entire bit about how date rape isn’t wrong if she chooses to sleep with you out of fear you MIGHT do something awful if she says no, but you don’t distinctly say. Had a whole episode about how metoo is just about unattractive people who can’t cover their tracks. Weird…still on, never apologized for any of it.

Because of websites like Twitter, it encourages people to get offended about everything and anything and it's just gone beyond the pale of even being pathetic. 80 or 90% of the greatest movies ever made would never be made during our current system of comic book characters and superheroes.

Honestly I feel the movie shows how silly and stupid there lifestyle is, They both realize that what there doing is terrible and both face consequences, Mainly Owen Wilson (John). And Zacks main point of "villainy is that he cheats on Claire and doesn't care for her to live her dreams.

It seems like these guys are super contradictory in the first thirty minutes. They start out with this idea that these movies should be re-judged with a 2018 lens as if the average person is really any different about this stuff than they were in 2005. Most of the stuff in Wedding Crashers was considered culturally offensive in 2005 too. We don't all work for Vox, the goalposts have really not moved that far in everyday life and conversation, which is a good thing. And it's still ok to bro down and laugh at gay jokes and Vince Vaughn talking shit, which I guess they finally get around to.

@@boysoul2075 was it homophobia or was it terror from being emotionally and physically abused? I'm thinking of the scene where Vaughn is tied up and raped by Isla Fisher/molested by the little brother. It isn't homophobia to reject a homosexual's advances.

@brad1928 11 ай бұрын
@@boysoul2075so we can laugh about fat people, or red heads, but laughing about two men having sex is beyond the pale? There’s a difference between material and personal attacks, and for some reason people can’t seem to differentiate between the two. Gay can be mocked just like anything else, targeting a specific person for being gay is a different story.

Its funny that this conversation in 2018 talking about what hasn’t aged well in a 2005 movie now seems dated in 2024 as the pendelum on what is deemed “problematic” seems to be slowly shifting back to neutral. In other words, this is a very 2018 view point on Wedding Crashers. I feel like if they did this movie now they would be much more forgiving of the “problematic” elements of it and just enjoy it for what it is.

I love this movie! I've seen it, 100 times! Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn's characters, John and Jeremy could've easily gone to bars every weekend, instead of crashing weddings. Like Bill said, if someone doesn't recognize a person at their wedding. They're going to be suspicious of them and say, who's that?! I don't think, too many people are going to crash weddings, now days.

Since when has being honest with women ever gotten men laid. This whole discussion about our political correct society now is really sickening. What if you made a romantic comedy that showed all the destructive things feminism has done to relationships in our society? Even if everything was completely true women would burn the theaters down. rewatching means that you knew of the content prior to viewing. Your 'recreational outrage' is passionless, the faux shock and indignant behaviour rings hollow. If you are truly that shocked by something you have previously seen it asks more questions about your values. While some of the subject matter is simply wrong, moral fiber is rarely malliable to the level that you speak of. Find your own voice, before you wife finds a MAN who does
