@@aravindhrajgowda2446 Could be. During my UG in a university in Tamil Nadu, almost half of the batch was from AP. Many of our friends were Telugus and we learnt each other’s language slowly. I did not have any opportunity to talk to a Kannadiga during my stay in India. When I went abroad, I made friends with Kannadigas, they were such a treat. But, we interacted in English throughout. They spoke English with such a clear diction, I found it hard to not get envious of them.

@@atharvzemse6599sorry to butt in, but from what i have observed about Maharashtrian Marathis - i live in Mumbai in a Marathi-dominated area - not all Marathi speakers speak Konkani. Many can understand Konkani, but they can't necessarily converse. This is true even for "native" speakers, i.e. people whose mother tongue is Marathi. It's even less common for people like me, who speak Marathi, not as a mother tongue but by virtue of being a Mumbaikar, to also speak Konkani. This is mainly bcoz I am exposed to Marathi but not to Konkani. I think most Goa Marathis can speak both tho

Honestly, these types of videos are so wròng, giving $ to x or y for speaking languages, pfff, one should work hard to get a småll amount of money for food and rent, and not get it for free basically - anyways, one can imagine that ppl that say they speak many languages aren’t fluent / native speaker level in all languages they say they speak, so it’s probably A1 / A2 level in most and B1 level in some and fluent only in 2 or 3 languages, so I would say Dutch / English / German are spoken more fluently, and the others at A1 to B1 level, because learning a language means one has to learn at least 10.000 base words if one wants to get to a native speaker level, which can be extremely overwhelming if one wants to learns many languages...

Indians just know so many languages, lmao. Like every person I know can speak at least 3 languages, lol. Also I'd recommend you to use "lekin" instead of "parantu" for saying "but" in Hindi because "parantu" sounds very stiff in spoken conversation and is mostly only used in formal writing or stories.

I think majority of south Indians can speak at least 3 languages. I speak 7 but my grandpa who had very little formal schooling could speak 9 languages and read/write 3 languages. I am hoping to learn Spanish just so that I can watch more movies/series in that language without CC.

Many urban Indians also tend to mix languages when we speak. Often in the same sentence you'll have words from different languages. When i thought about it, I realized that i regularly mix 3 languages during normal conversation. And the combination of languages can vary based on the opposite person and the languages they are comfortable with.

little tip for spanish: when you want to talk about something remember to add the prepositions and pronouns, for example, "Quiero saber más sobre la cultura de Incas", instead try to say "Quiero saber más sobre la cultura de LOS Incas". Since you are not talking about a specific person, but a group, so you add "LOS". for the other one "La cultura de Machu Pichu", instead try "La cultura DEL Machu Pichu" Not talking about an animal so it sounds weird if you say "de", instead try to say 'DEL', more appropiated for a non-live being thing. hope it helped at least a bit !

If you wanna describe how an action is done in chinese (like saying that you can't write well) you should say "我写中文写得不好“ (Wǒ xiě zhōngwén xiě de bù hǎo).得 de is used to describe how an action is done and it always follows the verb. Also when using this structure the first verb can be omitted "我中文写得不好 Wǒ zhōngwén xiě de bù hǎo".

@@criff85 disagree with you. Although it's true what you say that Wouter says basic things in many languages, however, watching him having a conversation and understanding what people say is: really absolutely amazing 😍 !!! It's way way more than repeating the same things. I watched him speaking French (my native language) and Wouter is pretty good ! He makes a few grammatical errors but that's expected. Wouter is actually a phenomenon in my view !

@@fatih24681012141618 Maybe you should go learn English if you don't understand the meaning of "German is my mother tongue".

It's not a big deal actually..extremely linguistically diverse country so u can't afford to be monolingual, esp if u live/work in a place that's 1) not your hometown or 2) the prevalent language there is not your mother tongue (the language u speak with your family by virtue of belonging to a certain place or community - Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, etc) In places like Mumbai, it's extremely rare to find a person who can't speak - or at least understand- at least 3 Indian languages. The most common are Marathi, Gujarati, and Hindi, followed by Punjabi, Marwari, Urdu, Kutchi, Sindhi, Kannada, Tulu, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Konkani...the list is pretty long 😂Add English to the mix and u get educated urban Indians working white-collar jobs speaking 4 at a minimum right there
