Some of these logs did in fact split not at the hit but near. There logs are just weak and would split the same easily from any axe. But the video is made so badly it looks like it's targeted on western audience -- people who have never held the axe in their hands so they'll believe and like any bullshit video.

As I saw it, the blade of the axe is making a crack in a fraction of a second and due to the shape of the blade around the handle/shaft. It passes right through the expanding crack like clay. It should working different on other kinds of wood. Please do try it. Great video!!

@JoybuzzahzTV i think you have the exact wrong idea lol... over time humans have gotten larger and not by a small proportion... even back in world war 2 the average height and weight were about 5' 6" and weighed 150lbs. Current average height is 5' 9" and 197lbs. That is 3" in merely 70 years, I severely doubt we were any taller back in the 1400's.

Looks like a Flint Edge. TRUE TEMPER, LAKESIDE & PLUMB all had that same axe. My Grandpa's Cruiser is a True Temper Flint edge and it's basically the same head. I went to Ohio for a octagon handle for mine. I wouldn't trade mine for any other axe in this world. Really nice axe and a great video. THANKS
