In May 2013 WPVI's longtime weekend newscaster Rob Jennings announced his retirement after delivering news at the station for 36 years. This is his last segment recorded during the 11:30 PM newscast of "Action News" on July 21, 2013.

I miss him. My favorite Action News anchor. Just personnified class,steadiness and professionalism.

Mr. Jennings brought a tremendous degree of class and professionalism to the Action News machine over the years. Obviously, to work at the same place for 36 years pretty much sums it all up. Kudos and enjoy a long retirement, sir!

Always enjoyed Rob on the weekends, and also filling in for Jim on weeknights. Rob even filled in for Marc Howard or Lisa-Thomas Laury at 5 many years ago, and more than a few times at noon before Sarah Bloomquist arrived at Channel 6 in 2003, which I got the privilege to see Rob anchor a noon newscast in the old studios when I interned there in Spring 2003.

I miss seeing him on the weekend(s), he was (to me) a news brother to Jim Gardner. Cause they both sat in the same chair and did the same news hours. But during different parts of the week

I wondered if Rob Jennings was ever offered the Weeknight or Weekday morning anchor ? 36 years on the weekends is remarkable.

I think if it weren't for Jim Gardner he would. Rob was usually the first person to fill in for Gardner, and the 5pm news during the Laury/Howard era.

Well, Weekends wasn't ALL he did, he was a reporter the rest of the week

I love Rob Jennings and I truly do miss him on Action News. But why doesn't WPVI just use the whole 2:00 of MCTYW? Couldn't they just sign off like they did with Irv Weinstein?
