it still flexes and feels a lot less strong than it is. A lot of people want a knife that feels better. And I think it should be $20-$30 cheaper, since it has the same materials as the griptilian.

Exactly. Earlier Wranglerstar videos were great, how-to videos and useful information. Somewhere along the way he sold out, and started with first the clickbait titles, then not so interesting content.

Yeah! That's a great review! I've had my Benchmade 535 Bugout for a couple of weeks now, and love it!

You probably shouldn't baton with a folder of any kind, I don't really ever see a reason to do something like that, if you are out in the wilderness in a survival situation, you should bring a fixed blade with you, and probably a machete or an axe. I know people say "What if you are stranded in the mountains with only a folder with you" That situation has honestly never came up and probably never will for anybody. And if you are in the mountains for some reason having to build a camp out of trees, then you probably shouldn't have brought a bugout with you. Whenever i'm out in the woods I have a Mora, a large fixed blade machete and an axe with me if I'm camping. I really can't ever think of any time I would ever need to baton wood with a folding knife, there's just no need ever to do it, it's just a KZfaq video demo thing, nobody int he real world ever does that. Even if you only have a folder, you can use that folder to whittle a hardwood splitting wedge/grenade, then baton the splitting wedge/grenade throught he wood you need to split with another larger hardwood branch or log. It's just a dumb thing to do, even a solid back lock knife can fail on you while using it to baton, so i would never trust an axis lock, I have Benchmade black class tactical folders, and they are way more solid than the bugout, and I wouldn't even baton with those, it's just stupid. There isn't a reason to do it other than showing off on camera, no actual outdoors kinda guy would ever do that off camera, he will just pull out his Hultafors heavy duty, or his Esee, or his Mora Robust or some other fixed blade if he really has to baton some wood, or his camp chopper.

Bugging out isn't just about being light weight. Have to be strong and durable too. If a knife breaks 2 days into TEOTWAWKI, you're in trouble. Benchmade is robbing their customers at $140. Its a $50 knife at best. 140 is ludicrous.

blizzak454 but in some channels they talk about bugging out to go lightweight in everything because you have travel and you won't be able to go far with heavy tools for example they say for bugging out to carry a 22 rifle because the amo is lighter you won't be able to carry an ak47 with heavy amo very far. but that is just an example i know everybody is different but i do agree that the price is just so expensive but that axis lock is sweet

Even if leatherman did honor the warranty of their product that I obtained second hand, I still wouldn't do it. I don't see the logic in cheating a company out of money that makes a high quality and useful product that I rely on.

Para3 in with the dlc coating at Bladehq is $141. The Bugout shown is $136. The Bugout has a much better warranty. Including blade replacement, which Spyderco doesnt offer.

I won't hold it against them for being an opportunist if there's a market there and he's catering to it then so be it. My only concern is that gear is properly represented. First it was the saws and now it's the knife so I just wonder if there's other things as well that are being given poor reviews when they're really not that bad. I have no issue with his channel otherwise and think it's usually quite entertaining.

In the serious axe and saw communities we'll just say he's a bit of a joke. I thought people were too harsh before, but don't mind it now because of all the reality tv nonsense. Hopefully Canadian Prepper sticks with the information and philosophical stuff, and isn't pulled in by the desire for more views.
