I think the bridge project and the concept behind it are commendable. The name Jacks Crossing would really represent the complete scope of the project which I believe is Jack crossing over from being a boy to becoming a man. This venture is spot on in achieving that goal. I am confident you and Jack will have many more of these memory building moments of bonding and character building. You are such a great father who lovers his son and wants him to be all he can be. Keep Smiling++++

An old man going a lone highway, Came at the evening, cold and gray, To a chasm, vast, and deep and wide, Through which was flowing a sullen tide. The old man crossed in the twilight dim; The sullen stream had no fear for him; But he turned, when safe on the other side, And built a bridge to span the tide. "Old man," said a fellow pilgrim, near, "You are wasting strength with building here; Your journey will end with the ending day; You never again will pass this way; You've crossed the chasm, deep and wide- Why build you this bridge at the evening tide?" The builder lifted his old gray head: "Good friend, in the path I have come," he said, "There followeth after me today, A youth, whose feet must pass this way. This chasm, that has been naught to me, To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be. He, too, must cross in the twilight dim; Good friend, I am building this bridge for him."

I have chronic medical problems, so, therefore, feeling better at this point is although I get chronic pain and obstructions with my bowel and my colon is a major problem health voice so I don't know many times this year held in the hospital. So I just want to let you know your good father to son and you just follow the guy upstairs. He will talk to you just like me. If I do die with this medical condition and if it is his will. just be a good father. OkayMr. Wranglerstar!

Awesome job! That tractor sure makes short work of grading. Personally, I think "Troll Bridge" is fitting in honor of your herd of 100+ trolls who conscientiously dislike and comment on every video keeping the whole project going, but realistically I can't see you naming this anything other than "Jack's Bridge".

Always learning is a good name for the bridge. You were educating Jack on how to take pride in what he builds as well as teaching him life skills. In return you learned to think about things that make you angry before you act on them. Like when Jack dropped the tool career. So, that's why I say call it always learning.

Call it "Jack's Bridge" in honor of your stated purpose of doing something that Jack could look back upon with a sense of accomplishment. He did very well and learned a lot including the tractor/toolbox accident. Also, Cody you did an outstanding job of guiding, correcting and teaching Jack such that he became both more skilled and self confident.

Names, hmm: 1. *Jo Bro* : this one might need some explanation from Mrs.W ... ;D 2. *Teamwork Timber* : because of the lumber, the sawmill, the tractor, you clearing the space, youtube chat helping with some of the engineering and obviously you two building the bridge. And obviously because you can accomplish great things when you work as a team. 3. *Pasture Passage* : because that is what it ultimately is, a gate way to the pasture behind.
@dutchcourage7312
@dutchcourage7312 7 жыл бұрын
Would like to add that *Jo Bro* is also a pop-culture way of greeting people in the USA, very often followed by a handshake, which can be viewed as 'forming a bridge'. In the same manner a bridge is the location on which the both sides of the river 'greet each other'. The following hypothetical discussion also still cracks me up: Q - Is there any reason to call the bridge 'Jo Bro'? A - Jo Bro Q - But like why call it that way 'its a bridge?' ? A - Jo Bro Q - Does it mean something in Swedish? A - Jo, Jo Bro Q - No serious, why call it 'Jo Bro'? A - Jo Bro ? Q - It has something to do with bridge right? A - Yes, Bridge ... Jo, Bro Q - But like what does it mean?! And what does it have to do with a bridge A - Yes, Bridge ... Jo, Bro Q - Ok never mind, if you are going to be this way ... :P It's just so... ;D :D

I cracked up over 'Toolbox lesson' bridge....but the more I think about it , the more it seemed right. The whole idea was to teach Jack construction and life lessons, and I can bet neither of you will forget the lessons you both learned; father holding his temper?; son being contrite , both sharing a moment that bridge will never let them forget. And you'll both crack a smile each time you see that " Toolbox Lesson " bridge sign.

My suggestion for the bridge name is "Knowledge Bridge" -- Not only in this series, but over the years it has been uplifting, sometimes tear jerking, and mainly heart warming to watch you raise and impart you knowledge to Jack. I hope when he looks back on these times and at this bridge he feels fortunate and has fond memories.

Great job on building the bridge, and your disposition with Jack throughout this series is exemplary; it is a testimonial in patience and love to all young fathers who might have a tendency to be a bit short tempered or impatient with their children. One question I have is why you didn't compact the C Minus backfill with either a hand or gas powered tamper. Aren't you afraid of it washing out from rainfall and other seasonal elements?
