Vince hated Superstars who got over organically because Vince loves to be in control of everything, he wanted Roman to be over, everyone hated it, Rusev, Sandow, Ryder, etc were over with the fans and Vince hated it because he didn’t control it. For Vince it’s all about Him and his Control.

That's a typical Vince move right there. I guess in his mind, organic growth isn't controllable in his mind so nope we gotta stamp that out real quickly. How that's done is taking them off TV, not pushing them when they could use it, and probably stopping any and all merch sales related to them somehow. Vince pisses me off so much I swear.

RVD not getting pushed is probably the biggest waste on this list in terms of long-term potential. Say what you will about guys like Cesaro or Rusev, but guys like that would probably get one world title run ever and that would be the end of it. RVD could have been a consistent main-eventer for years to come. Easy multi-time world champion like Rey Mysterio. Sure, RVD didn't play to the backstage politics to get ahead, but he was certified money. Fans were buying his merch, lots fan signs and pops for him, it was clear as day.

RVD got a major push and was a double champ at one point but he declined help from Triple H for his promos(I don’t blame him cause he didn’t need promos) and he got arrested for possession and they made him do the job instantly to lose both titles.smoking weed is the last thing they need to worry about as far as drugs go in their company.

@@tamzidmohsinkhan3333 The thing in my mind is with Knights case, Triple H is the top guy now, so hopefully he’ll keep him getting over organically and not make his run feel forced, but at the same time, I don’t see how he can run with the ball in the long run, I’m sure he’ll do great even in the long run and still keep his strong connection with the crowd, but at the same time, if it’s the same thing for a long while, fans might get tired and start turning on his character, maybe not, maybe after a long great run as face, maybe down the road, he’ll turn heel, maybe even be over as heel, I’m gonna still like his character if he turns, but only if Knight can remain in control somewhat and H lets him be organic

Also other than some interesting stories HHH isn't really putting his stamp on what he's doing. Allowing a part time champ to clench records for time the belt was held. When, if you did the math, he does less work than a jobber you rarely see.

Damien Shadow deserved better too. After he turned on The Miz, they should’ve pushed him to become a mid-card champion, but they instead had him team with Curtis Axel & started cosplaying as The Mega Powers for no good reason. Then he was taken out of TV for the rest of the year (thanks a lot Hogan) & he only ever made like 1 or 2 more appearances, before getting released. They really dropped the ball with him & it still gets on my nerves to this day.

I think that with Wrestlemania XXX approaching, they had no choice but to add Daniel Bryan to the main event (he had to beat HHH first of course). Otherwise, if the main event had stayed Orton vs Batista, fans would have either booed both men out of the building or leave the arena.

There's a lot of wrestlers Vince McMahon failed to pull the trigger on making them main event players after getting over with the fans organically. Ryder, Rusev, RVD, Christian, Ziggler, Bryan, Lynch before SummerSlam 2018, Sandow, Wyatt(RIP), etc. If Vince McMahon was still in control then LA Knight wouldn't been considered in the main event. Still, I blame Vince for ruining these wrestlers but opted to make Reigns Cena 2.0 before becoming The Tribal Chief.

Every member of The Hurt Business, individually and as a group. Cedric got so many chants in NXT they hired him, Bobby Lashley gets chants as a Heel, and the way Shelton was treated is criminal. At this stage of his career MVP is at the top of his game as a manager. I would put him on the level of Paul Heyman at this point as a mouthpiece.

Isn't it a bit early to be including LA Knight in this list? He's at the height of his popularity right now and about to headline the Crown Jewel PLE with Roman Reigns. While he's not expected to won the title, it should set him up for a good run heading into Wrestlemania season. EDIT: Then I realised that the video was put together before WWE released Dolph Ziggler because there was no mention of that or his run in NXT.

Chad. Effing. Gable. He went toe to toe with Gunther (who is a super boring champ IMO) and was super over with the crowd, so what did they do? Buried him in tag team, undercard jobber territory, and have barely featured him on TV ever since. Yeah, he’s a modern day Kurt Angle, but he’s a fantastic performer and the crowd loves him. Makes zero sense that they torpedoed his organic push.

If it weren't for fans' loyalty, Daniel Bryan would have been buried as jobber for his entire WWE stint. That's one battle Vince lost and everyone benefited because of that

Could you only come up with nine names? There's absolutely no reason for L. A. Knight to be on here, as he's been doing pretty well. High profile Wrestlemania match, mic time. The guy may have been wrestling for years and years but he's only been the character on the main roster for less than two years. Five years from now if he's never held a major title, you can put him on the list. It's too soon for it now.

I have never gotten why WWE do this, like it's a terrible business strategy to try to piss off own fans as it can lead to people not consuming your product anymore. Look at Disney as an example of this. Imagine if they did this more in the 90s, like if they decided to keep Austin as a heel despite his positive reactions, or continuing to push Lex Luger instead of Bret Hart. They would be out of business right now if they did that.
