I'm glad John Moxley spoke out about the cancer storyline that would have been in poor taste i can see why he left Roman was his friend and they were going to exploit his illness and when Orton said that line he was very uncomfortable saying that about Eddie's passing.

At that point Moxley was already fed up with the bs WWE gave him. He likely just wanted to get out of there without further damaging his reputation. So he decided to not say that terrible line that would make him look like an Asshole on national TV and instead risked being fired which would only have meant he would have gotten an early out from his contract.

Totally and it's not that he has an issue with Hardy as Jeff's first WWE single title was the IC strap that was held by HHH so putting him over is not something he has a problem with. Like if I was a promoter I wouldn't have an issue with Hardy as world champ but putting the world title on him for an extended period like 6+ months is something I'd never do (because let's be real there's a very high change he'd either fail a drug test or get arrested) so I understand that in Triple H way of thinking putting the world tittle on Hardy would be amazing business wise on the short time but the likelihood of becoming a disaster on the long term is far too high. And when you see what happened at Victory Road you can't really blame him for having that opinion

@@WhiteEyes33 I understand but unfortunately the cons far outweighs the pros. I can't blame them for being hesitant with him cause I'd be careful about it as well. The Jeff fact was misrepresented in this video, it was actually Vince that was hesitant to give Jeff the push, HHH stepped in and saved the title push by telling Vince to keep the story going but hold the title back, that's why every ppv Jeff was getting closer to the title but never winning it HHH wanted Jeff to win, and managed to help Jeff by prolonging the title win, that way Vince could make sure Jeff was free of toxins

@Noah WWE may have wanted to avoid the phrase because of how often it *wasn't" logical for the person facing the champ to have earned the "number one contender" spot... WWE didn't bother to even the basic faking of any form of "realistic" ranking system. A wrestler could lose most of his matches, then suddenly be granted a title shot. A wrestler could lose to the champ, win nothing meaningful after, and still get the next title shot. Wrestlers would just demand title shots at will, and actually get them. Etc.

Ultimate Deletion in WWE was never going to work. Because Vince and his team of writers didn't get it. It was Matt Hardy's thing and he made it work in TNA. Never in my life would I have guessed Freddy Prinze Jr was a writer for WWE. And Vince saying “Eddie would’ve laughed and been perfectly okay with us joking he’s in hell” is a POS move. Of course you feel comfortable saying that, being that he wasn’t here to contest your bullcrap. You were talking him up on the episode of Raw that honored him, and then push for some sh!t like that. Thank god Hunter has been taking over. He’s one of the greatest and one of the most accomplished to ever do it and he’s been slowly reviving the company

I believe Eddie would have been okay with his death being used in some fashion as a creative pivot but it was clear WWE was not interested in playing it with a light touch. Paul Bearer's death factoring into CM Punk and Undertaker's WM 29 feud was better handled.

Agreed. WWE went full throttle with Eddie and even if he would've wanted it, fans wouldn't. Bearer's passing was definitely handled a lot better

A lotta things listed in this vid prove to us all that Vince is deranged and insensitive af (especially when tryna push storylines that cross so many lines in so many ways)...
@derrickhaggard

No argument there. Especially since he wanted to do a incest storyline where either him or Shane was the father of Stephanie's baby, it took Shane, Stephanie, and Triple H pushing back on it to get Vince to not go with this incest storyline which would have been Vince doing a storyline just for shock value aka disgusting viewers as it's worst.

@@derrickhaggard it also required Linda getting involved as well, that’s how much of a collective force was needed to get him to not only stop but kill the idea Which is insane when this was the guy that knew from the getgo and still allowed a test segment for Russo’s I’ll fated Beaver Cleavage segment during the Attitude Era which was basically an incest storyline between a hyper sexual “Beaver” (now an adult) with his “mom” Though one has to wonder that it was because it was during the Monday Night Wars that Vince was against the idea since he needed ratings to battle WCW After he won he could do whatever he wanted, and also the fact HE wasn’t personally involved with the story …it makes his friendship with a certain 45 even creepier what with all those know interviews he made where he all but says he’d like to shack up with his own daughter on air Vince and him sure have a LOT in common besides being very rich and not taking criticism very well

@@derrickhaggard I'm just thankful lowkey that the PG Era and the era that's gonna follow it taught him and WWE as a collective to reconsider pushing insensitive content as a way of drawing crowds since they now have sponsorships and networks to answer to more than ever (but s/o to those who weren't afraid to call Vince out whenever he went too far or tried to go too further than he'd usually try to)...

I'm guessing the line for Dean was somthing like: He deserves to get cancer and this time the big dog is put down. Which is something Vince would totally have wanted to be said. Vince should of not have came back as it is slowly turning back to the old ways where your favorite never will win the big one or not even a title at all.
