We often see wrestlers getting angry in the ring, but we rarely see the drama that goes on backstage. In this video, we look at incidents of wrestlers getting legitimately mad backstage caught on camera.

Of all the wrestler I’ve heard who have tried to hardest to make the screw job seem like a shoot, Scott Hall was the one that made the most sense. Go watch Dark Side of the Ring the Montreal screw job episode if you don’t know what I’m talking about. Scott Hall was like “why would they allow the cameramen to “tighten up” on Vince’s face after Bret hawked a spit wad at him?” The whole thing was a work, every last detail. Bret and Shawn were in on it, the announcers, everyone.

The Santino incident: Long story short, Santino was one of many plants in the audience who were supposed to run away screaming from boogeyman. Santino just sat there laughing pretty much ruining the segment. Backstage Cornette chewed him out for it with Santino claiming he didnt know he was supposed to run away. Already frustrated with wwe handcuffing him, Cornette's anger boiled over and he slapped him. It got back to wwe and John Laurinaitis called Cornette to read him the riot act. Cornette wasnt having any of it and they decided to part ways. Santino got called up long after. Cornette is convinced Santino only got called up because it gave wwe an excuse to fire him as he believed Santino was a career jobber. Cornette was at fault with Santino, because the guy didn’t know when to shut up.

Hannibal got slapped by Lanny Poffo, Macho Man’s brother. It was to drum up interest for their match they were gunna have.

Brock was mad because he didnt want to win that match vs Roman.

During the match, Vince changed his mind and wanted Brock to retain. So they had to adjust their match. I don’t blame Brock at all.
