IMPORTANT TIP FOR BEGINNERS: Sometimes you will see Roman numerals instead of chord names. Roman numerals are used for chord progressions to show the tonality of a chord progression. "UPPERCASE" means chords with "MAJOR" tonality (a happy sound), "lowercase" means "minor" tonality (a sad sound), and "lowercase with a degree symbol" means "diminished tonality (dissonant sound like something is wrong). The example in this video has them all UPPERCASE which is technically incorrect. The correct way to write the Roman numerals for this example is I, ii, iii, IV, V, vii, vii°. Written numbers like 2, 5, 1, don't show any indication of tonality so Roman numerals are used.
