I speak in a new tongue and it's called love. And from it overflows compassion, patience, humility, self control, kindness, gentleness, peace, joy, mercy and forgiveness towards others. And most of all worship, praise and confession that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Well it's a new tongue for me.

"For he that speaks in an UNKNOWN tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaks mysteries.... Also, "He that speaketh in an UNKNOWN tongue edifieth himself..."

If one of my friends suddenly spoke fluently ina foreign language that he's not taught praising God, I would consider that a miracle 😳

A lot of people are deceived thinking they are real christians because they speak in their so called tongues, while LIVING in sin. I thank the Lord for opening my eyes and reading his word correctly! A lot of us were taught false things because of weak and/or workers of satan that have infiltrated the church! And people looking more for a sign and worldly things, instead of holy living!

I've seen someone try to interpret these toungs and it was strange. The one person was rambling on and the other person only gave like a few words in English and the person rambling, seemed like they told a story. It felt demonic.

A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church.

This guy gets it. No agenda. I’ve studied hard and have been burdened by the “know it all” preachers on this topic. This guy is well studied. Knows the scriptures. Doesn’t claim to know anything not in the scriptures like high dollar preachers do. No hate speech but challenges Pentecostals. I think his position is the correct one. Where does it say in the scriptures that the gift of "tongues" is no longer active?

Acts2:4 tongues is as the Spirit gives utterance. It is not on demand like your movie. Acts 19:1-7 shows they believe but take very seriously the questions that were asked and the actions that were taken. I strongly suggest we look for fruits of the Spirit without gifts don't matter.

I understand that this topic is quite controversial and can be very divisive. I believe that a healthy dose of 1st Corinthians 13:1-7 definitely needs to be applied when there are differences of opinions among brethren. I try to approach scripture as honest and unbiased as I can. Meaning not being swayed by personal, denominational, traditional influences but simply letting the scriptures speak for themselves and praying The Holy Spirit gives me understanding. I have no personal agenda in sharing in this topic other than understanding and applying Gods Word. That being said, to me it doesn't seem Paul is actually negating nor forbidding speaking in tongues but rather highlighting prophecy which edifies the church. He is contrasting these two gifts in terms of which is more beneficial within the church setting. Paul writes in 14:2 "For he that speaks in a tongue(In this case meaning a "unknown" tongue) speaks not to men, but to God: For no one understands him; however in the spirit he speaks mysteries." I don't believe that Paul means this symbolically. It seems the statement in verse 2 indicates that the one speaking in a tongue is actually speaking to God. " speaks not to men, but to God." In verse 5 Paul writes " I wish all of you spoke in tongues, but even more that you prophesied." "The person who prophesies is greater than the person who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be edified." It appears to me that Paul is not addressing the legitimacy of this particular gift, but rather the misappropriation of it. It does not seem Paul is negating nor forbidding speaking in tongues but simply emphasizing prophecy as it builds up the church. Paul writes in verse 13 that the one who speaks in another tongue in a church setting should pray that he may interpret. The context clearly shows that Paul is addressing the exercise of the gift in church assembly. In verses 14 and 15 it seems Paul is equating praying in another tongue with praying in spirit. Being that his "understanding is unfruiful" he will pray with the spirit AND with his understanding. Again it doesn't seem Paul is negating speaking in "unknown" tongues. Note in verse 18 Paul writes " I thank God that I speak in tongues more than you all; yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, in order to teach others also, than ten thousand words in another tongue." Paul gives further instructions and clarity

One Pastor I know went to another country (Zimbabwe) to preach at an evangelistic meeting. He was assigned an interpreter. A short while into the message, his interpreter stopped interpreting and went to sit down, motioning for him to continue preaching.

Love you brother! I came across your channel and I feel the same exact way you do. I truly believe it's a know language and I do think it's used in mission work today to edify God to those who don't know Him. I go to a Pentecostal church but I don't feel in my heart what they are doing in Gods word. I am having a meeting with the pastor soon to tell him how I feel and show him what I feel the Holy Spirit is telling me. I go to that church because my wife believes that tongues do exist.
