A Tampa Police Department officer had a close call with two wrong-way drivers on Sunday.

Stay alert everyone. We had an “impaired” driver, kill a local K-9 officer , in a head on collision. She was traveling in the wrong direction of the interstate exceeding 100 mph on impact. Of course, the “impaired” driver survived. RIP Officer Robert (Bobby) Warren Crapse The K-9 survived the crash and was donated to the family by the police department in remembrance of Bobby.

Insane! Pulled over and arrested one drunk driver going wrong way and is nearly killed by pair of vehicles again goin wrong way and seriously impaired. I've seen this first hand. One morning at around 6am I was towing my trailer with my dirt bike on it in my car on rt 202 which is all red lights, strip malls/stores for miles. North and Southbound lanes separated by center stores. So it's obvious which way is what. I just was able to swerve out of wrong way driver's way w/o flipping my trailer over. Person just kept going, not caring.

My brother was following me when we got to Florida City I didn't even see the car because it didn't have headlights on luckily I had already gotten into the right hand lane but it hit my brother on the driver's side. He was okay but the car was trashed

This LEO says it happens, 3 times to him. And he just lets them go! It is called MATH: Every wrong way driver you let go, encourages the same behavior! Regardless of policy. They were DRIVING the WRONG way. And freaking probably impaired, by his own admission

*queue Benny Hill music* THIS is the TPD's fault. They need to patrol more instead of parking and hanging out in empty lots for hours. People are almost ALL on their phones; no one enforces this. Also, racing and DWIs are just par for the course here. DMV needs to step up and stop issuing licenses willy-nilly. Make people pass tests AFTER they understand simple road rule shit

Head on vehicle sure make the butt tighten up! Had it happen to us around Moline Illinois! We got lucky, but two minutes behind weren't! Lady crashed into them!

perhaps they could do something to help them divert...for a time...creative ways to avoid collisions......redirect signs etc..?//.it is crazy how people purposely want others to crash...i have been purposely hit a couple times...dive safe people..😳 ...and plus...being impaired is not cool..put up a check point there!

this guy drove away from it instead of giving chase on the correct side or catching them before they got on the actual highway instead of just kept driving the swerve woke up his partner so they needed to find a new spot to sleep
