Aeroflowdynamics color matched fender for my 2022 Subaru WRX VB. Headed down to elite wraps to watch Jeff from AFD install my fenders. Great experience and totally transforms the look of the car. I had the AFD colour matched flares installed on my grey VB a couple days ago & loving the look. The black textured OEM flares was the one big thing I didn’t like about the VB from day 1. They’re also +10mm wider so my 18X9.5 wheels fit a little better in the wheel arches. My installer removed the OEM flares in such a way the double sided tape came off with them & didn’t need to sand it all off. Just a quick wipe & the new flares were ready to go. Here in Australia we have an aftermarket light bar that can be installed in place of the boot trim piece between the tail lights. A couple of my mates have them & it’s not bad. Significant improvement. That's all Subaru needs to do for the mid cycle refresh is paint the plastic.

sorry, the black fenders matched the car miles better, if it aint broke dont fix it, problem is , youtubers who own shops brainwashed people that something is wrong with the black cladding, for there own profit. the VB is the best looking WRX do date IMO.

I have to agree with you. I enjoy my aftermarket fenders but I very much miss the stock cladding. Will eventually return to it at some point I’m sure.

I just bought my first WRX and since I’ve been watching videos I’ve noticed everybody seems to do cosmetic mods on these just for the sake of modding. Like the rain guards and the vortex generators to me make them look cheap as hell. That said, I don’t mind the paint matched cladding. I don’t mind the black on my silver VB but I think the paint matched ones would also look good as long as it was a good match.

I need these on my 23! I just don't want to spend $1,000 on them.... I might try to paint my stock ones my self and save hundreds of dollars...

Yea man that’s the better option I’d say. To really be able to purchase these at $1000, I feel like all the others mods have to be completed. You have to be pretty much done with the car to justify this mod at that price lol

Dam now I’m not even sure if I wanna buy the fenders anymore I love the color match fenders but since it’s 100% I’m not even sure if I should just take to a show or play it safe and buy the fenders but W video 🔥

Thank you! Honestly just got the car paint corrected and ceramic coated and I’m loving the fenders now. Even my paint specialist was like idk man it’s spot on to me.

Exactly how I felt when I first seen it. I still have to stock cladding so if it doesn’t work out, I’ll just swap back

Imo color matched is nicer. After getting the afd flares, I can’t go back to black stock cladding.

Front way better w o the thin splitter. Gloss blk grill w Subaru emblem Gloss blk fog bezels Gloss blk wide air dam Wide body color match flairs. WRX is not an easy appearance build. Good eye! Those wheel spacers?

Thank you! Glad you like it. I’ve been on the fence about the splitter. Don’t know if I want it make a comeback or not. It really does function as a lip saver lol.

Looks really good! May not match 100%, but looks waaaayyyyy better than the plain black plastic OEM flares.

@@enzoridezmy AFD color matched version 2 spoiler is the same way. It’s close but not a perfect match. Most people don’t notice the difference.

So did that end up being rock chips on the front flare? And did it have them on the driver side too?

Yes it did. They are only on the passenger flare. All other sides are good. I’m still butthurt lol

Those aren’t fenders. It’s called wheel well cladding.
