I dont buy alot of the plot lines with the boys in this season. Like sage is supposed to be the smartest person in the world yet she just misses many red flags during this whole season. The only thing I can think is shes setting up a twist where she tries to take down homelander? Anyway, homelander is the highpoint of the whole show and its the main reason I'm still sticking with it .

I interpreted that scene as Neuman recognizing Hughie but not intervening or outing him. She does not seem to be fully on one side or another and is playing to her own motives. She doesn’t have a good reason to get Hughie killed, someone she used to have a friendship with.

Also, the tranquillizer thing? It's a good idea, however bullets don't really harm them and some forms of blunt force have a hard time harming supes. Some supes don't have the best defense but a lot do. As we saw with Kimiko lead piping A-train or Maeve stabbing homelander's ears, you need to have more physical strength in order to injure another them and Starlight was not only super strong but the needle was pretty thick so you likely also needed strong materials combined with that power.

im pretty sure joe spells out that the part of his brain that turned into a tumour was also part the part that held joes death as a memory. not like it was only that memory but that section of his brain that contained it and possibly a part making him act without empathy

Contrivances GALORE and lame meta awareness ruins the suspension of disbelief for me. The writers are already stretching believability with super-heroes so season four with Web-weaver and his "sickness" was a step too far for my tastes. I'm done with The Boys but will see what you think about the last two episodes sir Starkness. It was good while it lasted.

Web weaver was actually mentioned in season 1 episode 1 they talked about working with him briefly so it wasn't a convenient plot hole.

I dont think the tranquilizer would work on more powerful supes like homelander, soldier boy, noir or Victoria. Acid had no effect on victoria, a bullet to the head didn’t work on her. I dont even think the needle would pierce their skin. Starlight shrugged off a 50 caliber sniper round so i think its safe to say that those tranqu darts will only work on less powerful supes and humans (security guards)

It does seem like Compound V makes people more crazy and deluded, like with Firecracker. HOWEVER, that's probably just how they are. People can be insane monsters and we see that in the every day, it's just we have the means to subdue/stop them, it's just that when you're a Supe, you're stronger and get a lot more of an EGO boost. If someone like Ezra Miller was an actual Supe, he'd be the exact same, only that he'd be strong enough not to bother putting on a filter, and he wouldn't be afraid of forces like the police or FBI overpowering him.

With the Boys always making comments on the ongoing political and social problems, I wonder if they also prepare this virus for supes storyline to tackle the question of the 2020 pandemic.. ?
