Ants are the worst. In Upstate NY we would get the small brown ones in the Spring and the big black ones in the Fall. We just know it's seasonal, we get ant traps that have poison in them to take back to their nest and takes care of the situation. Every year it's the routine and the hardware stores know this and they bulk up their inventory. So sorry about your ant-bout and really sorry about the violent rock event too. Ants are awful where i live. They come after my dogs food! I use bait stations to keep them under control haha

It happened to us when we lived in the South and it happens all the time. My husband agree and said he would have said the same as your husband but we have younger children so he agrees with you.

My husband said the same thing your husband said. When we had flooding where we lived we had ants, rodents, snakes, and other critters. He told me don't tell anybody. When he saw this video he told me I agree with her husband because he did the same thing with me. Don't think your house was messy this happens more than you know. Husbands a pain in butt sometimes.

Honestly most pests don’t mean uncleanliness about the place or their owners. They’re just animals at the end of the day seeking shelter. But you just went in there BARE HANDED?!? You are BRAVE. And omg was that stalking incident before or after KZfaq? I feel you about the inflation but I feel like I’d be drowning more if I wasn’t budgeting. So I’m just grateful I started.

No matter what I do, I have ants that come up through my drain in my kitchen sink. Every year! Ants are just part of being a home owner you’re right. Sorry it’s been a rough few weeks but sounds like you have a great attitude about it

Ants don’t mean you’re dirty, just that your home is warm and dry. They also have to keep clean because if their antenna get dirty then they can’t find food or scents to find their way back home. Cleanliness is actually a massive survival for ants, so it’s a misconception they’ll only come into unclean spaces, you’ll find them more in cleaner places. The reason they got into your candy will simply be that they got disoriented and the weather pushed them into your home& thus they went looking for food so that the colony didn’t starve. Having got into your candy actually means that there isn’t any rogue food particles for them to sneak away and that there was just a need for them to survive. I do understand your husbands worries though because so many people automatically assume that pests=unclean but that’s actually so much further from the truth. Just like cockroaches, they prefer clean dark environments because they actually are one of the cleanest bugs on the planet and dirt can literally kill them; they just adapt to survive the environment but bacteria from human consumption will harm them more than you’d think. Which is why dirty houses find a lot of dead roaches. (Sorry this was super long comment but I find these things fascinating!)

We had that same weather, just reg rain for a few days all things look for cover, then food.. here in sc if its just hottttt things look for cover, it's normal. There's no way to seal every Crack in your home, apartments, restaurants ect. So it's nothing to do with how clean!!

Oh don't even worry about "oh my house is dirty because ants" not even a little. In my house we get field mice. I know! Horrible. All I'm saying things happen

I am a person who prides myself on having a clean house I get ants every summer I like southern sweet tea and I do mean sweet a cup and a half of sugar per gallon. So every now and again I will end dropping a bit of sugar on the floor without noticing and the next morning boy I find out because I can find a trail of them from the front door all the way to the few grains of sugar. So don't worry about it it happens alot. Tell hubby take a chill pill and breathe. Its very common

My February wasn't anything like I had planned... I ended January sick and started February extremely sick. Ended up in the ER on the 5th, admitted to the hospital that evening, urgent surgery the following evening. Got home the afternoon of the 8th then woke up with an upper respiratory bug on the 10th.... I can officially say that I'm over being in bed since I spent all of February either sick in bed or in bed recovering from surgery....

Ants are common in the summer where I live. Anyways, depending on how long you've been with your provider they may be able to reduce your internet bill just by calling and asking. If they can't automatically reduce it, ask for the loyalty department. They usually find some kind of offer. Usually save about $20 to $25 a month for a year. Then you have to start tge process all over again but it's worth it. Depending on your husband's employer, sometimes there are national discounts available for certain services such as internet and phone.

We’re in FL and we have seasonal ant infestations. The gel really does work best, but it’s sooo slow! Once a year, I do a barrier around the outside of the house.

Gel bait is the best. Ants do not mean you’re dirty. They go anywhere they want. Lol. I’m currently fighting rats in my chicken coop. I keep a clean coop but nature is nature. 🤷‍♀️

I would have rather the ants, we had those big wood roaches come in when it rained for a few days. I was almost in tears because some of them flew 😂 I was scrubbing the floors because I didn’t want a spec of dirt on anything for them to eat 😂😂

Omg I hate ants so much. I remember once as a teen I woke up and the kitchen counter looked like it was moving covered with ants 😩 it was awful. It happens to all of us I feel like Lady I say this all the time we are so similar I cut myself all the time or burn myself (cooking) the kids and hubby make fun of me oh of course you burned/ cut yourself. Two Christmas ago (2002) I was at a store and the bottle I was holding broke I still don’t even know how it happened it seemed to happen so fast and I’m standing there bleeding in the store I was horrified I offered to clean up. The store was great. Hubs and I found a bathroom stopped the bleeding and went back they held all my stuff and gave me a discount ❤❤ once we left went straight to target for some butterfly bandages it was my pinky also (but on the inside) I felt I needed stitches but the butterfly bandaid did great I still have the scar tissue to pretty sure I will forever. So glad your back hopefully your hubs isn’t to mad for spilling the tea but maybe he will see how normal it is by all of our comments I’ve never been stalked on social media

We get an infestation once a year. Usually during the summer where they are actually seeking moisture. So they come through the windows. It's frustration and no your not dirty. It's apart of life and they are always going to be around and find ways in to find anything.

We used to get ants really bad in the spring and summer during the rainy days. I have had a stalker also, it was my ex. He became dangerous. While my husband and I were dating, it was a bit scary.

There's nothing wrong with ants, it's roaches german ones in fact that would mean u were nasty. Lol but when it rains then lil thangs comes from everywhere. I'm like dang...maybe it's a southern thing, i live in GA as well

Tell your husband if he wants to know where all your ants went, they came to my house. Live out in the country and got a lot of rain also, and the ant hid out in my house. Trust me when I tell you how bad that can be. Glad you are feeling better.
