Cast: Yueh Hua, Lo Lieh, Hsu Feng, Tang Lung., Tong Li, Ma Chiang.
THE GREATEST PLOT (1980) boasts a good historical kung fu plot, with court intrigue and familial rivalry . Lo Lieh plays Nian Geng-yao, a formidable general kung fu expert who allies himself with the new Qing Emperor Yungzheng (Ellliot Yueh Hua) After may glorious battles Nien was given additional honours and privileges normally granted to a Prince of the First Rank. His attitude, however, aroused hatred and jealousy, and many officials submitted memorials hostile to Nian. Nian himself was not slow to discover that he had lost imperial favour, protesting his loyalty and imploring the Yongzheng Emperor's mercy. Meanwhile; it was discovered that Nian had engaged in secret correspondence with Yintang, the emperor's brother and political rival.

Great movie and story line! No particular kungfu style or fighting tough! Shue Fong was most beautiful of course , specially in her 30ies like all of those super beautiful actresses!! They keep theirs top form up to their 40ies or 45 but going down drastically after that age! ( this is in general of course!). ......

FILM QUALITY IS SUPERB ! Description encompasses the bulk of the movie. Additionally, good amount of sword and kung fu fighting at the start. Marshall Nian is demoted many times for his drunk words to the Emperor. Nian fights 3 experts (Ma Cheung) in yellow, (Fong Yau) in red, and (Tong Lung) in leopard. Sister (Hsu Feng) and "Chu" intercede in fight. The woman with the king is Nian's sister (Elsa Yeung). A man is decapitated (Emperor's brother) and his wife is brought to the king. An abbot, also teacher (O Yau Man) and nun attack the king. A female agent is sent in to infiltrate the kings lair. Sister and 2 fighters make their way thru the king's defenses and take him on. The wild card is a 1st. The only wild card to be a non fighting participant that will do the honors of killing the main opponent. Movie has many bizarre weapons which are plentiful. Choreography and directing are simply fabulous along with unique story line. NOTE: Some few parts of description do not occur or show to occur in movie.

Lately I have been re watching films I haven't seen for over a year and to be honest once I read some of the synopsis's it is helping me too which I never expected when I was doing them. Small world in that way. Things are pretty good here except the Covid stuff and having to wear mask. Hope they are good there for you. I see your comments since I usually read all of them before watching a movie. Wu Tang Collection is still racking up the subscribers and pounding out the new movies each day. This is one of the best far east Kung fu movies I have seen out of the orient and the 5 Deadly venoms by Shaw Brothers and the Shaolin vs The Lama With Yao feng lin are my favs i have to think 💬 about it after this its close for me whats next smh 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳

Great quality I have a question for you What part of China this movie companies are based in ? what I’m trying to say is that, what part of China made these great movies I have heard that Canton province made some of these movies What other state made this movies or these kung fu experts live in ? I also know that Wu Tang mountains people make their own movies as well which are great very fast KUNGFU and sword playing

@@South3West77 no problem if you google Ark Films L&T Films kung fu on google you’ll find a bunch of classics under different titles. Most of them were released with a title related to bruceploitation such as “Lee is back”, or Fists Like Lee (which is “Along Came The Tiger” ).

The plot description of the movie, make it seems that the Emperor is the good and General is the bad guy that betrayed him, the description is wrong. The Emperor got what he deserved, the girl who was sent to seduced the Emperor was stupid, she sat on the bed watching the Emperor kill the good guys, instead of pulling the cord quickly to kill the Emperor. The movie was wonderful, but it had problems switching between two different languages, but I still enjoy it!

Only thing good was the story plot , the fighting was boring. The funny part was that turning thing came up from the floor. I don't think they had remote or electronic devices in that era . They needed to keep it old school not put stupid cheap hollywood effects that will ruin a movie. Stick to making it like it suppose to be not just cuz u think thats what sells in hollywood.
